Jay Halstead x Reader
"I will have to give it to you ruz this was a brill idea" Jay smirked grabbing a beer out the cooler.
"I do have my moments" Adam smirked taking the credit.
"I will punch you bro" you chuckled as you put him in a headlock and hearing the familiar sound of a picture being taken "stop taking credit for my ideas and Kev send us that pic"
The one thing you guys did all the time was taking photos, and this one would be added to your collection.
"I can honestly say I'm glad we have the brother sister duo in the unit" Kevin laughed "always providing entertainment"
"I aim to please Atwater" you smirked tying your hair into a messy bun leaning back into jay as you sat between his legs. "That lake is looking so appealing right now"
"I second that" Kim smiled holding her beer in the air.
"I know I have these great ideas but normally the weather is on my side" you said taking a sip of beer "I guess the big man isn't my friend today"
You couldn't help but smile as the sun caught your engagement ring making it sparkle. You and jay had been seeing each other for about 6 years now and proposed a year ago but with you all working in intelligence it was hard to plan a wedding and secure a date. It was nice that Adam and jay was back to how they was before you two got together because let's face it that was a nightmare. Adam really didn't like you seeing jay but when he realised you was actually serious about him, he started to make an effort to sort things out with jay but that wasn't without a few choice words and you giving him a black eye.
You and Adam had always been close growing up, there was only 18 months between you however he did still treat you like a kid which annoyed the hell out of you.
"Fuck it Imma jump in the lake" you said tossing your beer bottle in the bucket for the empties. "I need to cool off"
Within seconds you pushed yourself off the ground and sprinted towards the water. As soon as you got closer you shed your shorts and baggy vest top.
Everyone was watching as you acted like a kid again in the water. However Adam wasn't watching he had his eyes on jay as he pulled his sunglasses down slightly whistling lowly.
"Man how did I get so lucky" he grinned not taking his eyes off you.
"Nope not having it" Adam said standing up placing his hands over jay's eyes.
"Dude what the fuck" jay groaned.
"That's my little sister you are drooling over" Adam said as he kept his hands over jay's eyes.
"You do realise she is my fiancé and we will be married in 6 months" jay said rolling his eyes not that anyone could see.
"Oi Ruzek you better put some clothes back on" Adam shouted to you as he moved his hands from jay's face.
"Piss off off big bro" you giggled flipping him off.
"Fuck this" jay laughed kicking his trainers off and pulling his shirt off "it's bloody hot and my girl has the right idea"
Soon enough the whole of intelligence was in the water, laughing, joking about but best of all creating memories that would stay with you forever.
You couldn't help but smirk as jay wrapped his arms around your waist spinning you around.
"How did I get so lucky" he whispered against you lips.
You would have replied but you heard Adam fake gag before splashing you both.
"Imma kill him" you giggled wiggling out of jay's arms.
"I'm right behind you baby" he laughed.
Hours passed and you had all clambered out of the water, your stomach hurt from laughing so much.
"What the hell is atwater doing?" You laughed wringing your hair out as you saw him chatting to a couple before passing them his phone.
"Group pic guys" Kevin smirked
"Should have known" you giggled as jay wrapped one arm round your waist and Adam draped an arm across your shoulder.
You couldn't be happier, spending the day with your family but most importantly the two most important people in your life. Your brother and fiancé.
