Milo's pov.
If I was a book in progress, I would be the first line.
Okay, so this chick shows up at my house. Runs away. Comes back the next day. Now she wants me to go to... I don't even know where? My anxiety is punching me right now.
I have a habit of rubbing the back of my head when I'm thinking, I don't know why. It helps, sort of? Well, I can investigate first. It's not like we are in a rush, she was here yesterday and ran away, so we must have time, "So, I have a few questions..."
She lifts one of her legs up and says, "I can balance on one foot for a long time, you have until I lose balance. GO!"
What the hell. She just made it into a game. Um. Now I can't think. AHHH.
I start off with, "What's your name?"
She lifts her arms up, pretending to meditate and replies, "My name is Mango."
I burst out laughing. Another thing, I cannot hold my laughter in for anything, "So, like the fruit?"
She puts her foot back on the ground and her face drops, "If this is how you're going to react to all of my answers, I don't want to play."
Jeez, it was only a joke. I mean, if a fruit can be named that so can she. Guess I can't make fun of it.
She then says, "No more questions. Are you coming with me or not?"
I didn't even get to ask her-
She exclaims, "Get, you're stuff, c'mon."
But, I wanted to ask where we-
"Sometime today?"
I guess, I'm going on a trip with a creepy girl who has been practically camping outside of my house. This is great. Well, I mean, at least I get out of my auntie's wedding rehearsal.
Oh damn, I guess I do need to ask her one thing, "But like, how long will we be gone for? I need to know what to pack."
She mumbles something under her breath, it's not a hard question... Unless she's like... kidnapping me. Wait, it wouldn't be kidnapping. I'm willingly going with her. AHH, I need to stop thinking.
Okay, so if I pack for every occasion, I'm sorted. It doesn't matter where we are going or how long we are going for, I will have an outfit no matter what we do. I nod my head, clearly confused and she says with the biggest grin on her face, "Let's go pack."
I just nod my head again, trying to act less confused than I actually am. I start to walk back into my house and I can hear her following me. Oh wait, she's coming to pack with me... damn.
I try not to acknowledge the fact that she has just invited herself into my house as that would make things more awkward, which would be saying something. There's just one problem with her coming into my house, actually there's many.
We walk through the front door and all we hear is footsteps. Not like creepy footsteps. Its like a stampede, but of very hyper children who cannot stop yelling. I turn to Mango and she's already making herself at home. She places herself on the couch and picks up a chocolate bar from the table. She starts to look around, like she's searching for something.
Finally, she says, "Where is the remote?"
I burst out laughing. It's like as soon as we walked through that door, she completely forgot about our 'oh so serious' trip. I just roll my eyes and she jumps back up from the couch, "I'll find it myself then."
I turn around, now slowly walking away from the room, "So this trip, no rush then?"
She chuckles and replies, "Oh yeah, forgot about that. We can go pack in a second. Let me just quickly eat this."
I just chuckle back. Like what am I supposed to say to that? I also help myself to a chocolate bar from the table. I then hear one of my siblings come running down the stairs. It's my youngest brother, "Oh wow MUMMMM, MILO BROUGHT A GIRL HOME AND THEY'RE EATING ALL OF OUR CHOCOLATES."
We don't hear anything except his voice through the first half, but I guess the whole house heard him when he said the word chocolates because as soon as that got said, BOOM. The stampede made it's way down the stairs and into the room we're sitting in. So all my siblings are now in the same room with a girl I literally only just started talking to about half an hour ago.
To make this image clearer, I have 6 brothers and 2 sisters, Which all are younger than me! So we can picture how this is going to play out. They all start talking at once and I start slowly scooch past them to run upstairs and pack, leaving Mango with all of my siblings.
I try to pack as fast as I can, so I don't leave her with them for too long. I stuff all of my outfits into a big suitcase and try to fit in other little items. I rush back down the stairs and surprisingly I don't hear any noise. I pop my head round the corner and see all of my brothers sat still watching television and Mango and my sisters braiding each others hair. This is a first. Everything is silent for once, I don't like it.
My mum bursts through the door from the kitchen yelling our names, she pauses halfway through; noticing that we are all in the same room and are being quite. Her eyes widen in shock. I quickly grab Mango's arm and we start making our way out of my house. We both say our goodbye's and leave.
What the hell is going on. My brain hurts.
A/n: I've been trying to make my chapters longer, soz. I tried to switch this chapter up a bit so that not all of the people are just meeting then leaving, so I hope you enjoyed this one a bit more.
