Chapter 1

"Mia come here for a minute please?" Her dad yelled from downstairs.

"Sure daddy." Mia answered back and stopped working on her medical homework to go downstairs.

As soon as she came downstairs, she was surrounded by her Alpha who was gently looking at her, her Alpha named Nathan is a young man who took over the pack once his dad died from protecting his pack, his son was old enough to take over but they were not in the mood of celebrating his title because they were grieving for their old Alpha, Mia loved her old Alpha, he was kind and helpful, but unfortunately the kind soul passed away by protecting the members of his packs.

"Alpha Nathan." She bowed in front of her Alpha and he gave her a firm nod making her look up, he is 20 years old with a mate, he found his mate named Destiny last year and now they are expecting a pup.

"I have ordered you guys for a meeting because it's now time for Jayden to take over the beta role." The Alpha said loud and cleared.

"Of course Alpha Nathan, my son is ready to take over my place." Her dad replied as he smiled proudly, he has trained his older son Jayden who is prepared and ready for his future job.

"Great I'm excepting from him great results, have a good evening." The Alpha said and left their house and bowed as a sign of respect. As the Alpha closed the door, Mia looked at her dad.

"Where is he?" She asked curiously to her father and he shrugged it off.

"Maybe he's training or dealing with the pack business." Her dad responded and she sighed.

"Oh, well then I have to finish my homework." She said and then went back upstairs, her dad is also a kind-hearted person with humour even though his mate passed away, Mia's mother died from protecting the pack too like the old alpha, she was a warrior but then became a female beta. The young lady cried desperately when her mom died from the rogues attacks, she was only 6, Jayden and Nathan were 8. Her father didn't fall into depression as other males would do because of the loss of their mates and continued to take care of the kids without their mother.

She finished her homework and then get on the phone to check up her notification, boy there were twenty messages from her best friend Lydia. She called her friend and immediately Lydia answered.

"Hey boo." Lydia said through the phone, it seems like she's at a party, Lydia is a wild live wire, she loves partying with her friends.

"Lydia, what's up?" Mia sighed tiredly.

"Girl, you've been working on this stupid work for hours, come and have fun with us?" Lydia suggested, she hates that her best friend is using her energy for school work while she could live her life right now, they graduated and it was time to spend their time in senior parties.

"I don't know Lydia, now it's not the time."

"Please do it for me?" She begged her, after a moment of thinking, Mia decided to go to the party and going to supervise her friend, because she's drunk and at any moment there could be a danger.

"Fine, where is it?" She replied and take a jumper, she doesn't care about her outfit, there were only thoughts for Mia is to keep her friend out of danger.

"Scott's house." Mia hanged up her phone and go downstairs without forgetting to warn her dad.

"Daddy, I'm going to a party!" Mia yelled at her dad.

"Okay, but please come home after you've done partying!" She loves her dad, he was giving too much liberty to Mia because she's mature enough to decide and be responsible for her own actions.
