"Dear passengers, we are happy to announce that we have safely landed in Mumbai. We hope you had enjoyed this journey with Tiger Airways. Please remain seated until furthur instructions are given. Thank you." The lady in the Announcement said.

I rolled my eyes as she said the "we hope you enjoyed this journey" part. How the heck am I suppose to enjoy?! First they delayed the bording time, then there was no food given! This is a 6 hour flight I am starving!

I stared out the window as the plane landed. I heard the snaps of belts and people started standing up. Anyways let me introduce myself. I'm Arohi Raj, and I'm a Psychologist/Therapist. I have diploma in Psychology and I'm thinking of doing further studies in University. I applied for a Uni in Australia and apparently I'll only get my results by the end of this year. So what am I going to do for one whole year? Well,I'm spending it in Mumbai, India. You might be wondering why? Well, first of all my grandfather had fallen really sick and everyone's thinking he's going to "go" if you know what I mean. So we're practically having a "family reunion" thing so my grandfather could "go" happily. Second of all, everyone has dreams right? Well, my dream is to be a Bollywood actress. And I don't know if that's weird but since young, I have always wanted to be an actress. Oh! And I'm obsessed with Bollywood!

"Arohi! Lets go!" my brother Ashwin said shaking my shoulder. Ashwin is my 5 year old brother and he is super impatient. Just like me and my Mum.

"Wait, let others get down first! The plane isn't gonna take off or anything. We'll have plenty of time," I said as I picked up my bag from between my legs. I stuffed my earphones in them, followed by my waterbottle which was empty. I looked over to see my Mum and Dad struggling to take the suitcase from above. Most of the people had alighted so it was pretty much just us and a few other people. Ashwin stood up followed by me and we walked down the aisle with our parents following us. I could already hear my parents arguing. They were always arguing about something. Most of the time it was about something that wasn't even worth the whole argument.

I walked out the flight as the pilot and flight staff gretted us and said "hope to have you travel with us again". I mumbled a "no thank you" and sighed. To be honest, I was kind of excited and kind of scared at the same time. This trip to India might change my future or well just waste my time. I was excited for the fact that I'd be seeing some of my cousins but I dreaded seeing my aunties! They're gonna bombared my with questions like "why aren't you married?" "Why did you choose psychology?" "What is your furture plan?"

Ugh. I already feel dizzy thinking about them.

"I'm starving," Ashwin said.

"Me too," I replied," We'll eat as soon as we get over with the immigration thingy okay?"

Ashwin nodded in response. I don't thing he liked the whole idea of the trip as well. It took him quite a long time to even understand why we had to stay in India for such along time. Well, I don't blame him. Even I don't understand! But while I'm here the best thing to do is to make the best out of it.

*After the Immigration check out*

Let me tell you the police in India are creepy. Okay, I don't know if I feel that way cause I'm from Singapore or if they really are creepy.

"So, where shall we eat?" My Mum asked. Clearly she was starving too.

"We're eating at my parents house! Are you guys excited?" My Dad asked happily. He only got an awkward silence in response.

"Dad, you know how hard your Mum's idilies are right? She's not a very good cook!" I argued. [Idilies is an indian dish made with flour etc] The last time I had my grandma's food was when I was 13. Yet, I remember it like yesterday!

My Dad gave us a wide eyed hurt look,"I grew up eating that food!"

"That's why we feel bad for you honey," my Mum replied,"but if it'll make you feel any better, we'll eat at your parents' house."

I groaned softly. I didn't want to piss my parents off. They easily got angry at everything. My Dad gave a proud look and led us outside the airport. Outside was a jeep waiting for us and I immediately recognised the driver.

"Uncle!" Both my brother and I shouted and walked towards him. We waved at him as he jumped out of the car to greet us.

"Hello! How are you all? Woah! Arohi you have grown!" My uncle said clasping his hands together.

I laughed at his statement as I,myself was pretty shocked to see I was taller than him.

We all exchanged greeting and jumped into the jeep. Soon we started moving through the bussling city of Mumbai.

And all of a sudden we had to stop cause I cow was walking pass the jeep...
