Eunice POV
My eyes fluttered open, allowing me to see my surroundings. I furrowed my eyebrows seeing trees touching the darkening sky as I sat up. My head pounded making me groan, squinting my eyes until it stopped. A few seconds later I stood up. The wind howled making my body shivver and cringe due to the coldness. As a reaction to my nose running I sniffled looking for a way to find shelter. I found a house to my left and headed toward it. The leaves crunched under my feet as I struggled to force my legs to walk. Eventually I made it to the house, teeth chattering, nose running and feeling the presence of Jack Frost hovering over me. My body shook as I attempted to knock on the door. The door opened a few seconds later. I stared in shock at a man I felt who was close to my age, who answered the door with a towel wrapped around his waist. He gasped as I shivered breaking my trance.
"Michelle?" he looked shocked yet happy.
"Is that supposed to be me?" I questioned.
"Yes." He nodded. "Baby it's me." He smiled. "Jojo."
"I'm sorry, I don't think you have the right person." I shook my head with my teeth chattering.
"I know my baby when I see her." He smiled nodding. l shivered as the wind blew, still confused.
"Oh I'm sorry, here come in." he stepped aside to let me in.
"Thanks." I walked inside.
"Do you want anything to drink?" he closed the door.
"Um no thanks, but may I have a blanket please?" I questioned.
"Yeah sure." He nodded. I followed him to a closet where he took out a blanket. "Here you can sit right here while I go get dressed." He led me to a couch in the living room.
"Thank you." I smiled wrapping the blanket around myself before sitting on the couch. I watched as he walked into his room and closed the door. After five minutes of looking at the living room, I heard the door open.
"I'm back." He caught my attention. He smiled when we made eye contact. I felt my cheeks flush as he sat on the coffee table in front of me. "Where have you been?" he licked his lips.
"Umm." I stared at him in confusion. He furrowed his eyebrows studying me.
"Hmm." He paused. "Do you know who I am?" I shook my head after studying him. "Do you know who you are?" I tried to think but failed. I shook my head slowly, feeling empty. "Hey, don't cry." He spoke as I lowered my head sniffling. "It's only temporary." He lifted my chin. "How about you get some rest and we'll talk some more tomorrow." He smiled making me feel relaxed. "Umm do you wanna sleep with me or by yourself?" He questioned.
"By myself." I looked down.
"Okay follow me." He stood up. I followed him to his room. "The bathroom is right here. And here's some towels in case you wanna shower." He brought towels out the bathroom. "You have clothes in these drawers but you usually wear mine." He chuckled slightly. "Don't worry you've done this before, you'll be back to normal within two days." He smiled at me. I stood in discomfort as he stared at me. "Sorry." He cleared his throat when he realized. "Um do you need anything before I go lay down?" he shoved his hands in his basketball short pockets.
"No." I shook my head.
"0kay I'll be upstairs. Good night." He turned to the door.
"Night" I watched as he walked out. I sighed feeling uneasy and tired, deciding to lay down. As the hour progressed, I tossed and turned eventually falling asleep.
