Chapter 15 The CEO

Lynn spins around. A tall brown young woman stands in front of them, eyes blazing with anger. Lynn hears Kodi mutter: "Alex." crossly.

"What do you want?" Kodi demands, standing up from behind Evan. Alex doesn't reply, but looks straight at Lynn.

"New recruit? That's sad, even for SUITA." Alex jeers. Lynn scowls at Alex as she walks forward closer to Lynn. Practically breathing down her neck, Alex shoves her into the white wall. Kodi retaliates by jumping on Alex from behind and trying to pulling her down, but Alex grabs her by the arm and throws her to the floor. Lynn jumps at her and dives for her feet. Alex falls with a loud crash.

"You-!" Alex curses, but Lynn grabs her arm and swings her against the wall. Alex takes Lynn's foot and pulls her to the ground. Why isn't Kodi helping? Lynn thought helplessly, struggling to fend off Alex. Pain pulses through Lynn's back as Alex strikes it. Lynn swipes her leg under Alex's foot and Alex falls, landing with another crash. Lynn jumps on her, punching her aimlessly until Alex stops one of her punches and throws her to the side. Everything went black.

"Lynn!" Lynn opens her eyes, pain seers through her eye and back. "Lynn!" The calling voice became clearer. Lynn looks up. Kodi was held against the wall. Alex was bigger and stronger than Kodi was, so Kodi was at a disadvantage. Forcing her legs to move, Lynn dashes over to Alex and knocks her aside, causing her to drop Kodi.

"Pick on someone your own size!" Lynn scowls, trying to land strikes, only to be blocked every time.

"Sorry, this isn't a fair fight." Alex sneers and grabs Lynn's arms and throws her back, causing her to tumble over onto Kodi. The girls tangle and fall. Lynn grunts with pain as she stands up, her legs screaming in protest. "Maybe I will pick on someone my own size." Alex continues, nodding toward a small young blonde girl who had just ran in. "Someone like Bianca." She leans down and grabs Lynn and Kodi by the shirt and drags them out. Lynn barely fights. Alarms were blaring and guards were shouting, but it all seemed like hot air to Alex. She didn't even flinch when a gunshot sounded. Alex comes to a stop in front of a door and tosses Lynn and Kodi to the side. The door busts open.

"You failures." Alex begins, she talks for a minute then she reaches back for Lynn and Kodi and tosses them into a room. They land at the feet of Bianca, who seemed dumbfounded. Heather bends down and helps up Lynn.

"The heck did you do to them?" Bianca demands, look deceitfully at Kodi. Lynn rests her head on Heather's shoulder, blocking out all the shouts coming from Alex and Bianca. Fighting about secrets or something. Heather whispers into Lynn's ear. "What happened?"

"We found them", Lynn whimpers, "Evan and Evelynn, I think. Alex found us before Kodi could get Evan free. Beat us into pulp." Heather wraps Lynn's arm around her neck and stands her up. Heather glares at Alex who had just knocked Bianca down. Lynn's breathing grew unsteady, she was fighting to breathe. "Heather, can't, breathe." Heather's wide scared eyes stares down at Lynn. The little blonde was now talking. Heather sets down Lynn and puts her hand on her Lynn's chest. Breathing grew harder and harder. Soon, Lynn began wheezing. Heather steps back, face expression unreadable. Lynn groans and lifts her head up.

"What's wrong?"

"Your lung... is very damaged." She says, almost a whisper. Lynn looks down, she didn't even notice the blood on her chest. Suddenly, more than twenty guards appeared. Almost everyone in the room gasps. Spyjoe looks like her just walked out of a coal mine. Lynn had spotted Spyjoe lying on the floor. Alex stands up. "Grab them!" She growls. Within heartbeats, all the guards had hold on everyone. Bianca was staring down at her feet, Heather was trying to fight them, failing. Kodi was doing the same thing as Bianca. Lynn stood quietly, trying to keep her mind off her chest. Alex paces in front of them.

"I'd like you to meet my father, Tyler Tyler. Our CEO."
