Taylor Winters

Chapter One

I walked into the halls of Riverview, I tried to hide my face with my hair as I carried my books through the hall. I was wearing my favorite jean jacket and my red button-down shirt. I also wore my blue jeans and black flats. I suddenly bumped into to a girl. She was wearing a short black dress and black highheels and they made her really tall! 

" Who do you think you are!" Said the girl 

" I-I'm so... sorry!" I said

My eyes turned dark blue and a streak formed in my hair 

" Do you know who I am!" She said 

" N-no.." I barely whispered 

" I'm Anna Miller and who might you be?" She smiled at me 

" I'm Taylor, Taylor Winters...I just moved to Riverview High and I don't really know the way around!" I said as the guy walking behind me kneeled down and helped me pick my books up 

" Anna! Are you OKAY!?" A girl with dark brown hair asked 

" I'm fine Steph, it's just some people... NEED TO WATCH WHERE THERE GOING!" She said and walked away with Steph 

" I'm so sorry, my sisters are over dramatic!" A guy walked up to me and said 

He put out his hand and helped me up 

" There you sisters?" I asked 

"Yeah, I'm Chase!" He said 

" Hey wanna go to lunch with us after school?" He asked me 

" Us?" I asked 

" Yeah me, James, Izzy and Megan!" He smiled 

" Sure!" I smiled " Oh yeah, I'm Taylor!" 

" Bye Taylor!" He said and walked away 

" Here's your books!" A guy said and gave me my books 

" Thankyou...uh...." I started to say 

" James!" He said 

" Thankyou James.. so do you know where I could find Mr. Levi's room!?" I asked 

" Actually, I have that class next so we could walk together!" He said as we walked together to Mr. Levi's room

When we got there, he made me introduce myself infront of the class and then I sat back down. I sat by a girl with long brown hair and a pink bow with a pink sundress and white jacket. Her name was Izzy Jacobs. She was the smartest girl in the school. This class was science and we were going outside to see how the weather changes and we are writing about clouds and stuff. I looked up at the sky and then looked down at James and smiled. I saw his pencil write down words on the page. 

" Hey James!" Steph walked to him and kissed his cheek 

" Hi Steph!" He said 

I felt a burning feeling in my heart and I couldn't remove it. I thought he liked me... he picked up my books and walked me to class! I bit my lip and my eyes turned a mixture of Indigo and Light Green and a streak formed in my hair of the messy color. Suddenly, the sky turned gray and a lightning stike almost hit Steph. 

" EVERYONE INSIDE NOW!" Mr. Levi said and everybody ran in 

Inside the lights were flickering and papers were blowing everywhere. The lamps were electrified. I had the power to change the weather. I was dangerous and realized that... I can't do anything right! Come Winter, I'm gonna have to make it snow! I don't know how!!! I looked at Steph and James sitting together. Steph was smiling. She had a crush on James, and so did I! 

I could never be like her.. smart, pretty, beautiful and socialize with James! 

The bell had rung and I was collecting my books when a girl with blonde hair walked up to me and smiled. 

" Meet me in ten minutes by locker 109.." She said and then walked away 

Okay then... I walked to my next class, Mr. Davis's class. Those were the two teachers I had.. and then I had Mrs. Miller for my gym teacher. I'm not sure yet, but I'm pretty sure the Miller Sisters are my enemies but I like Chase, he's nice to me and he's a good friend..

We worked in partners and Izzy was my partner. We were just talking about amphibians and were making a presentation to show to the class. 

We included the characteristics, frogs and toads, salamanders and newts, vocabulary, facts and importances and types of the amphibian. 

During class, I asked If I could use the hall pass so I could go to locker 109 to meet the girl. I lied and asked to use the restroom. I met her at locker 109 and she was smiling 

" You have a crush on James Houston!" She said 

" Uh, no I don't..." I lied 

" I know when a person is lying, come on! I can keep a secret!" She smiled 

" Okay, I do!" I half-smiled 

" I was right! I'm Megan Houston, his sister!"  She smiled 

" You live with him!?" I sighed 

" I won't tell, I promised you!" She smiled 

" Okay! I got to get back to class!"  I said and walked away 

A few minutes later the bell rang and it was time for gym class. I had that class with

Anna 
Steph
Megan
Chase 
Izzy 

And a bunch of other people I don't know the names of 

Our gym teacher was Anna and Steph's mom, Mrs. Miller, so I don't think we'll get off at a good start considering that I'm probably enemies with her daughters... but on the bright side, I am friends with her son. Chase and I get along really well and he was one of my first friends.

I walked into the locker room and chose locker 18 because it was the only one left. It was by Izzy's locker and then this other girl. She was dressed in black and leather and her hair was like a maroon shade.

" Shit!" The girl said 

" What is it?" I asked 

" I forgot my fricking gym clothes!" She said 

" You can use mine, I brought two sets of clothes just in case.." I said 

" Thanks blondie! I'm Alice Donovan!" She said 

" Nice to meet you Alice, I'm Taylor Winters!" I said 

I changed into my gym clothes and got my hightops on. I ran out of the locker room and sat down in the left corner, waiting for everyone else to get out of the locker rooms. James ran out of the boys locker room and he sat next to me 

" Hey Blondie!" He said as I smiled  

" Hey... umm..." I began to say 

" Umm what?" He asked 

" I'm trying to think of a nickname for you!" We laughed as I watched Steph walk to James. 

" Hey babe, why are you hanging with her.. she's not one of us.. she's a newbie, nerd and dork!" She said 

" I should move to different spot!" I said as my eyes turned Indigo and an Indigo streak formed in my hair 

" No wait!" He grabbed my arm " Steph, I can hang with who ever I want to hang with.. And I don't want to hang with you! I'm breaking up with you because I like somebody else!" James said to her 

" And who is that!" Steph said 

" I like Taylor Winters!" James said and smiled at me 

 " I like you to!" I said to James
