Lilith Robinson's fiancé had been sleeping with her best friend, so now she was out a friendship, a marriage, and a house, as he had handled the lease. Of course the first thing she did was call her father, he might have left 26 years ago but he was the only family still alive. She knew her friends would all take Alexandria's side, as she was far more charismatic and friendly, Lilith was standoffish and closed off. Her father, the infamous Jason Gideon, assured her that while his job took her away for most nights, she was welcome to stay at his cabin or even his apartment. She had only ever met him a few times previously, so his lack of hesitation intrigued her. Her inquiries revealed that while he wasn't planning on being a family man, he had created his own in a way. Aaron Hotchner, the workaholic with a delicate marriage, Derek Morgan, the one who took every case personally and went to the gym to express his frustrations, Jennifer Jareau, one of the gentlest human beings despite what she sees on a daily basis, Elle Greenaway, an ambitious girl with good instincts and a sharp wit, and last but not least, Doctor Spencer Reid. A highly intelligent man with poor social skills but impeccable at geographical and linguistic profiling. Not to mention Penelope Garcia, a quirky girl with a skill for computers. Her father had created his own family, and he had become a better man for it. She had struck up a conversation with the doctor, finding his company fascinating and compelling. Only a few months after moving, Lilith found herself falling for the charming yet oblivious doctor. Spencer realized the moment he met her that she was someone worth getting to know, but it would be the death of him. After waiting for him to pick up on clues, she gave up, and asked him on a date. He accepted immediately, chiding himself for not acting upon his instincts. They quickly fell madly in love, despite the circumstances of their time spent together. Elle had shot a man after they didn't  have enough evidence to convict him, and consequently left the Bureau. Spencer has gotten kidnapped, and addicted to dilaudid, or as Lilith had gently put it, drugstore heroin. Through all that their relationship remained strong, so it was no surprise to anyone when Spencer proposed the second he was a month clean. They were married in July. Shortly after, her father decided to cut all ties, and leave. Spencer refused to tell her why, and when that collided with her untimely diagnosis of ovarian cancer, their relationship, which had been through so much, collapsed. It was a tough few months, being separated without anyone noticing, working out the divorce. In August, just over a year after they married, they divorced. She had disappeared off the earth to the team, and she was just fine with that. Lilith was an assassin. She was a paid hitwoman, and she had many enemies. There was no way she would've risked Spencer or her father's safety, or anyone else's on the team for that matter. She moved away, and turned up dead 3 years later. The BAU team investigated, minus Spencer, as he was mourning the loss of another girl. When Spencer came to work unexpectedly and saw the case they were working, he drove himself straight to a psychiatrist. He was admitted but it helped none. He was prescribed medication yet it didn't help. He quit the BAU. Doctor Spencer Reid has been unheard of for the past 5 years, much to the chagrin of the team, who've tried to track him down to no avail. He wasn't dead, as he periodically called his mother from payphones. He was just heartbroken.
