3 Days Time

Chapter 12

Narrator's POV

It has now been a month since then. Nastu has tirelessly been searching for Lucy. To him it was like looking for Igneel all over again. He endlessly searched to bring the woman he loved back to him. In this months time he has honestly had time to reflect on his feelings. Now he truly understands he has always loved Lucy. Ever since she came into his life he has always felt a peace of his heart belong to her. And without her with him he felt slightly empty. Nastu had finally decided to return to Fairy Tail. He decided the others might be worried about him, and he want reassure them that he was safe. Even if it was for just a day or so before he set out to look for Lucy again.

The team that set out to help find a cure for Lucy's condititon had finally went back to guild to relay a situtation report to the Master.

Master POV

"My children I'm so glad you all have returned safe. Though I'm sorry to see Lucy nor Nastu isn't with you." Master exclaimed remorsefully.

Erza calmly laid her hands on Master's shoulder in a very reassuring motion, "Don't worry Master I'm am postive we will find our other family members and bring them home safe." she said in a soften sweet voice.

"Yes... You are right Erza..." suddenly the guild doors burst open to releave the pink haired dragon slayer in question, "I'm back everyone..." Natsu said in the biggest smile he could muster even though underneath it everyone could see his true pain.

Narrator's POV

Master was the first to exclaim, "Welcome back my child....." Happy flew into his best friends arms knocking him down yelling, "NNNaaaaatsssuuuu!!!!!" "Yo Salamander" "Hey flame for brains" Gajeel and Gray greeted. "Welcome back Nastu although... you shouldn't have left without us...I should punish" Erza said in her scariest voice that made Nastu shiver a bit.

"The main thing is that your back and we are very happy, but I do have to ask how was the Lucy search?" Levy asked in the most careful way not to upset Nastu. 

Even though she didn't want upset him you could see in his eyes just the mention of her name left him somewhat lifeless. "Well... you see.... its like this everytime I would feel like I was close to finding her... the feeling of her being close would vanish completely." Nastu explained. "What do you mean feeling Salamander? Your a dragon slayer you can't find her with your nose? That's the thing I have only smelled her scent once this whole time while looking for her, and that was only a couple of days after I left. It's so wierd. That day I smelled her I followed it all the way to forest area of Crous and then out of no where the scent just stopped." 

"That is weird. Nothing gets passed a dragon slayers nose and your nose is way more sensivity and in tune with Bunny girl's scent since she is your partner. What could this mean?" Gajeel thought intensely trying to figure out the answer.

"Nastu what do you mean when you say you can feel her nearby?" Levy inquired. " I honestly have no idea, it just this strange intense pull I get that kinda guides me in the direction I think she is going. I have only gotten in a few times and everytime I do it's like the pull gets stronger." Nastu said.

"Hey Nastu did you ever get around to reading Lucy's letter to you?" Levy asked suddenly in deep thought. "No, I could bring myself to open it. Why?" Nastu asked. "Well I think now that its time to read it. I have a feeling I know whats going on, but I think the answer is somewhere in her letter to you." Levy explain.

"Well I guess now it's now or never. I'll read the letter."

Dear Natsu,

I'm sorry I am leaving you without a proper goodbye, but I have a feeling if I look into your eyes I could never leave. Truth is your the only person who has ever had that kind of power over me. Your my partner and best friend. I have to leave Fairy Tail for a while. I honestly don't know how long I'll be gone. I'm sure by now Master has told the guild what happened and why left. So I really hope you understand and forgive me for not telling you the day this all happened. But enough about that I'm slowly losing my memories of us as I sit here and right this letter. So I want to tell you something before they all disappear. Nastu Dragneel, I, Lucy Heartfilia am completely in love with you. I have been since I met you. I know sometimes love and relationship type things goes over your head. Which is why I never said anything before, well that and a certain cat is always teasing. But truthfully I know that if anyone could find a way to make me remember it would be you. And if i never remember please know I did, do and always will only ever love YOU.

"Wow Flame-brain that was intense" Gray said while patting Nastu on the shoulder. But no one but Happy noticed the single tear that rolled down Nastu face onto the letter Lucy had sent for him. Happy squeezed his friend a little tighter knowning that Nastu needed a hug. 

"I knew it... Lu-chan sure knows how to keep a secret to herself.... even though everyone in the guild could see how the two of you felt. She would never confirm her feelings. But now with this I know why this is happened to you Nastu." Levy exclaimed excitedly. "What Levy?" Nastu questioned a little dumbfounded. "Nastu the reason you have feeling when Lucy is around is because the Call of the Heart." Levy said proudly. "What exactly does that mean Levy" Erza inquired. "Yeah Shrimp, more details." Gajeel said.
