My jaw unhinged itself as my eyes widened like a madwomans. "This my room?" My mind still going haywire as I still couldn't believe it. " Yeah where else you gonna sleep babe?" An awkward grin now placed on my face not knowing if she was teasing me or my understanding wasn't on par.
"Okay well I'll let you settle down. My room is the left one to yours and if you need anything just let me know. See you later cutie." She placed my keycard on a minifridge the room came with and a quick bye was all that was left of Lisa.
I quickly got up and ran down the small hall connected to my room. A BATHROOM in my own DORM ROOM. I almost fainted. As I looked through it my body felt relieved. No more awkward meetings in the shared bathrooms from my old college. No more judgement or feeling disgusted due to my own body from my old dorm wing. I really was living the life. Not to mention the fridge and microwave in my room! Now I could indulge without the extra pair of eyes in the old common room.
I plopped myself onto the naked mattress on a bed frame as I smiled.
See mom I will be just fine.
