Frank led the girls into the main building, up to the third floor, then through a series of secret passages.  The three of them ended up in the bell tower, which hadn't been used for years.  The school had used an electronic bell system instead.

"No one's been up here in ages, except for me and some friends,"  Frank explained, closing the door behind him.  "The main passage is unusable or something, and adults are too dumb to find another way."   The girls looked around the room; it was large enough, and decorated with beanbags, lawn chairs,  some old vinyls and a record player.  "We mostly get high and shit up here."  Frank mumbled, flopping face-first into one of the beanbags.  Katie and Lexi followed suit...sort of, and made themselves comfortable in the chairs.  "So, are these your friends?" Katie asked, looking around the empty room.  "They're pretty...quiet."  Frank sat up just so Katie could see him roll his eyes, then flopped back down onto the beanbag.  "They should be here in a few minutes."  Frank said, the beanbag muffling his voice.

There was a knock at the door, as if Frank had conjured his friends up by word.  The door opened and five guys walked in, closing and locking the door behind them.   Frank got up to introduce them, starting with the first guy.  He was pretty tall, with messy brown hair sticking up everywhere and glasses hanging off of his nose.  "That's Mikey," he said, pointing to the guy.  Frank introduced the rest of his friends; Pete was a slim, dark-haired, lively kid, and Patrick was his boyfriend, who was probably the complete opposite.  Gabe was the last guy and had 'prankster' written all over him; Katie and Lexi could easily see why he was friends with Frank.  The group stuck around and got to know each other before dinner started, all of them becoming fast friends.

Dinner passed quite uneventfully, and Katie and Lexi returned to their dorm room shortly after.  They arrived to something completely appalling; all of their amazing music posters were rivaled by horribly bad ones (in their opinion at least).  On Cassidy's side of the room, the wall was plastered with artists like Madonna, U2, and the Backstreet Boys.  "Um. Wow."  Lexi mumbled, shaking her head.   Cassidy, who was sort of sitting on her bed across the room, simply rolled her eyes.  "Does it hurt to know that I don't listen to crappy music?" Lexi had no response for her, so instead of trying to think of something to say, she walked over to her bunk and fell onto it face first.  Katie followed suit, after climbing the ladder to her bunk, of course.

The next day marked the beginning of the school year, and the dreaded classes.  Luckily for Katie and Lexi, their schedules were almost exactly the same, so neither of them would have to suffer alone.

The first class on their (torture) schedule was English, something that the both of them were good at, thankfully.  The teacher hadn't arrived yet, so the other students were holding conversations.  Lexi and Katie chose seats in the middle of the classroom; they both knew from experience that kids who sat in the back were evil, and kids who sat in the front were forced to answer impossible questions.  After settling down in their seats, Katie turned to her sister and sighed.  "So. Ready for your first day in hell?" she asked, dragging out the word for a few extra syllables.  The younger girl sat up in her seat and smirked, making Katie wonder what was going on in her head.  "Well," Lexi started, her smirk turning into a grin as she spoke.  "I'm not sure if it's going to be hell.  In fact, with sexy artist guy,  I think it will be the complete opposite."   she continued, mumbling so that only Katie could hear her.

Katie blushed and quickly scanned the room.  "What are you talking about?" she squealed, but almost immediately her question as she laid eyes on said sexy artist guy, sitting two rows up from them.  Lexi burst into a fit of quiet giggles, nearly falling out of her chair at Katie's facial expression.  Once she'd stopped laughing, Lexi looked over at Katie, who was still gazing at sexy artist guy.  "Go talk to him, "she suggested, nudging Katie with her elbow, but the teacher walked in after that making it pretty much impossible.

Their English teacher was an old lady who was nice enough, even kind of funny. The only bad things both Lexi and Katie could see about this class was a) all the book studies they'd be doing and b) the fact that the old woman had given them assigned seats.  Lexi was seated next to some weird kid who smelled like Swiss cheese, but luckily for Katie, her seat neighbor was none other than sexy artist guy; otherwise known as Gerard Way.

After the class ended, Katie still hadn't said a single word to Gerard.  Lexi was planning to change that.  As the two of them left the classroom, Lexi mumbled "Go talk to sexy artist guy."  Katie rolled her eyes.  "His name's Gerard." she corrected.  "Don't care." Lexi replied in a mock-angry voice.  "Talk to him or I'll make you."   Katie rolled her eyes.  "Whatever, short stuff." she said, grinning, and headed to her next class.
