Branch had woken up feeling his normal self

He wanted to go see poppy and the snack pack

And made his way to his elevator pulling the lever with a big smile on his face he exit it his bunker and made his way to find his friends but that smile was soon about to be wiped a
way

Branch walked around troll village when few trolls waved at him

He waved back with a smile

But what he didn't know was that the some trolls were talking behind his back

He walked around when he spotted a group of trolls who he kinda recognized

But they seemed to be talking in secret and branch decided to eavesdrop but he wished he never did

"I don't like Branch"
"He's so grumpy and he's always all about safety like if anyone cares about his feelings towards keeping the village safe " one troll said.

"He's not even fun he's such a buzzkill" another troll said

He felt a huge lump in his throat but he couldn't move
it was as if he was frozen

But little did he know poppy had been walking around when she heard what they were talking and was also eavesdropping on the other side

"Why did we even accept him?"

"It's poppy she was the one who accepted
him"
"She should have never accepted him"

Branch felt like someone had beaten him up and left him like thrash

While poppy on the other hand was boiling up
How could they talk about Branch like that when all he ever did was just try to protect everyone

"I don't like him at all" another troll said

"He's kinda ugly"
"I think he was better in his bunker days all gray sad and alone"
"I mean who names a remote control"
The other troll said laughing

Branch slowly got up from eavesdropping as he felt his vision become blurry

But he spotted the snack pack and blinked away the tears as he made his way to his friends

Poppy was now infuriated by what the trolls were saying but just as she was about to confront the group of trolls she noticed Branch walking from the other side to the snack pack

Did he hear? she thought

Poppy walked away from the group and made her way to Branch

"Hi Branch" the snackpack said in unison

"H-hi guys" Branch said as he plastered a fake smile across his face

He felt someone lightly touch his shoulders and he turned around to spot the pretty pink troll with a smile across her face

"Hi poppy" branch said his voice a little cracky

His ears were dropping a little and he didn't have control of it

His ears would drop according to his emotions

The snack pack and poppy noticed this as they gave each other looks

He must've heard poppy thought
