Chapter 4

*Mya's POV*

That night I dreamed. That never happens. Never.

I felt my paws hit the ground of the forest, only to leave moments later. My heart pounding in my ears. I felt my muscles tense as I get ready to take a leap over the log thats about 7 feet in front of me. I hunched my hind muscles, lifted my front paws and-

BAM!!

I swing my head to see a smokey colored wolf. I saw a glance of yellow eyes before my left shoulder hit the ground, slapping my black fur into the dirt of the forest floor.

Everything went black.

I sat up in my bed. Sweat dripped from my forehead into my eye.

"Ow!" I cursed under my breath. As I walked by the window wall. I could of sworn I saw yellow eyes. But because my eye was stinging I didn't look any closer.

I finally got to the bathroom. You know, only after stubbing my toe 2 times and almost running into a wall. I washed my eye out and my forehead so that didn't happen again. I desided since I'm now wide awake to put my contacts in. I looked at the clock hanging next to my mirror. 3:42. I groaned then started to paddle back to my room. I look at my reflection in the window. My short running shorts don't hide 1 out of 3 birthmarks. They are small no bigger then a quarter. This one was on the other side of my leg. Not too far from my hip. I am wearing a t-shirt that has 3 wolves on it. The first one on it was a white wolf with blue eyes standing there. The second one is a howling gray wolf in the background. Then along the bottom was a smokey gray wolf running.

Just then, just beyond the window in the warm summer air, a bush moved not too much but just enough for me to see.

*Storm's POV*

I came back. Back to the place I was at 3 years ago. I recall so clearly. The scent here was still the same. Still her sweet scent. It smells like raspberries and chocolate. No, no... Not milk chocolate. But white chocolate. My mouth slightly waters. I saw movement within the house. Yesterday she didn't seem to know who I was. That sort of broke my heart. More like my wolf. He knew we were mates. She, on the other hand, didn't see that. Her wolf didn't. Maybe there was a reason. We don't know. I felt a whimper come from my wolf's muzzle. I saw a light flicker on. It looked like the bathroom. I saw blonde hair. It reached the middle of her back.

'What is she doing up do late?' Cole asked.

I had no idea. I heard a snap behind me. I whipped my head around and slightly jumped. Causing the bush, that I was hiding in, to move. Being in war has definitely affected me and my wolf.

I scented the air around me. I smelled a strong scent of white chocolate and raspberries.

'That's our girl.' Cole comment.

'You know she's not "ours" yet, right?' I asked him.

'Oh hush once she knows she will be ours' he smirked that the words. I rolled my eyes seeing no point in arguing. I didn't smell anything out of the ordinary but even if it was just a rabbit or a small animal I doubt they would make a branch snap like that. I turned back to Mia's window. She was gone. My wolf freaked out, but then we quickly found her in her room. Hey, before you call me a stocker or creeper or whatever you want to call me. I'm not. She's just my mate. And I need to protect her. I stepped in a puddle. Arg, great. I looked at my yellow wolf eyes just become a little yellower. Not even sure if that was even possible.

"Alpha! I hope I didn't awake you but there is some rouges at the boarder."

I noticed it was Jake my beta.

"Okay Jake, thanks I'll be there soon. Which boarder?" I asked. After a few seconds later he mind linked me back.

"The southern one sir."

"Okay be there soon." After that I cut off the mindlink and ran off towards my territory. My smokey black paws hiting the floor. I reached my territory with ease.

*Mya's POV*

I watched the smokey wolf run off my land. What the heck. My wolf was partly growing and whimpering. Well that's new, normally she just wants to kill on sight. Why is he here?

'There's something different about him' Tala said to me.

'Like what?' to say the least there was nothing different. His an alpha. Probably trying to get me to join his dumb pack. Well guess what? I'm a rouge, I'm not gonna ever join a pack ever again. If he ever comes on my land again, I will kill him.

'Oooooh you won't kill your own mate.'

I felt my jaw hit the ground when Tala said that. But soon I clenched my jaw. No. No mate. Nope. Never. I ran off to my house. Pumping my legs, pushing myself to go faster. I ran past the spot where he was standing a scent that I have scented before. But where?
