I felt someone running their fingers through my tangly dark brown hair and spinned around, my heart beating quickly. "Nick! You almost gave me a heart attack! Why are you home so early?!" I met his dark eyes and he smirked, making me forget about why I just yelled at him. I took in his appearance like a male at a strip club. His tanned chest was perfectly on display in his black v-neck. His hair was it's usual, sexily messy. His dark circles were very visible and his lips, his lips his lips his lips. They were plump, ruby red and were screaming at me. Staring at him open mouthed, I heard an intentional cough that snapped me out of my dirty thoughts. "Hmm?" I asked.
"I just asked if you want to go get ice cream from Farrell's, and you didn't answer.."
"Oh,sorry, um, yeah, let me just get my jacket and brush my hair." I replied while exiting the kitchen. In my room, I looked in the mirror and my cheeks were tinged pink against my pale skin. Brushing my hair and applying some mascara, I grabbed my jacket and keys then locked the house and went outside, looking around. The sun was shining and it was pretty warm outside. Nick's silver Honda Civic was right in front of me and I got inside. "You okay?" He whispered. I tugged my jacket closer around me and answered yes. The ride was quiet.

When I got out of the car, he wrapped his arm around my waist. "If something's wrong, tell me, but I just don't want to see you sad." He whispered in my ear. Then he slowly walked me to the rusty door like I was a fragile old woman. "Hey Steve." he saluted as soon as the welcome bell sounded above us. As usual, Steve didn't do anything different to the shop, it was a smaller shop, with only 5 tables. The walls were a rusty green color, the walls not so smooth. The lights no longer worked, so the only sunlight was coming through the window. Only a couple of old people stood near a corner of the room, eating ice cream. We both walked towards the register and ordered two vanillas with sprinkles.

Then we decided to just walk around while eating. It was quiet once again. I cleared my throat.
"You didn't tell me why you got off work early."
"Oh, Mr. Jefferson insisted." he answered then looked the opposite way.
"Did something happen?"
"No, I guess he was just feeling pity for me, like everyone else." His face hardened.
"It's not affecting me that much." he whispered quietly.
"Huh? The fact that both your parents are dead doesn't disturb you at all?" I asked.
"I don't want to talk about this anymore."
"But-"
"No! I don't need your pity or anyone else's! Just stop! Yes, I know my parents are no longer living because they were murdered by God knows who! I don't need to be reminded." he shouted at me.
My eyes started to water and I lost my appetite.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." His gaze softened.
"Let's just go back."
After giving him my cup to throw away, I waited in the car. My eyes were dry again. Once he got in, we both just stared at each other, daring each other to make the first move. He did it. He reached over to tilt my chin up and connected our lips like a puzzle piece. I started moving along with him, forgetting what life itself was. I climbed onto his lap and ran my fingers through his silky hair, still tasting the vanilla in his mouth. His tongue glided along with mine and I let out a moan. I slid my hand up and down the part of his exposed chest. While still locking lips, he took my hand from his chest and placed it onto his beating heart. "My heart beats for you, that's so cliche, but it's true." he whispered while looking up at me. I smiled down at him and he nibbled at my neck, causing a moan from me.

We heard a weird knocking noise coming from the driver side window. We both looked up to see Steve giving us the evil eye. Nick rolled down the window.
"Will ya'll stop liplocking in ma parking? Makin' me look bad." Steve said then started towards his car. For the 2nd time today I was tickled pink.
