Present day,New orleans

Memories of my past life filled my head, the images I tried so very hard to forget came as quickly as night came to day. I didn't ask for this in my sorrow and grief having lost my mother, brother and sister I had taken my own life.

Such a cowardice way to die I suppose , but I did not die Instead of the sweet bliss that death itself could grant me I woke in such a strange place to be and a strange era in time. New York City is rather loud , and the people are conniving little snipes oh did I forget to mention rude.

"Ma'am what the hell are you doing on ground?!" Startled I woke from my slumber confused. Everything looked particularly odd not at all like the fifteenth century décor i've grown used to. "Sir what era must this be?" "New York City you loon". The oddly dressed man walked away after giving me a rather bizarre look and muttering something about crazy psychos.

Four fort nights have passed and I have yet to find a place to call my own. I have henceforth adapted to this era so I no longer feel it strange. Feeling quite famished from walking around in search of a home I decided to stop at a small cafe "Amber's Terrific Cafe" in big bold letters was embedded in bright neon colors. The inside of the cafe was decorated in blue and white colors giving off a cozy aura.

The sound of the bell when the door opened alerted the people in the cafe that a potential new customer had arrived. Looking up from the gidget gadget mortals called a cell phone I saw him my amicus animae( friend of the soul). I watched as his eyes darkened and a strange look overtook his features.
