The blonde Swede had prepared for this day. He planned out everything for his exciting Christmas party. He had put up his Christmas tree, covered in long, beautiful, red ribbons and cute ornaments like snowflakes and sparkling lights. He cooked up a delicious Christmas dinner. He wrapped all his presents and wrote many thoughtful, meaningful cards that were decorated with glitter and many colors, painting a picture of a joyous holiday. He had decorated the house with bright lights that flashed red, green, and gold and with Christmas ornaments, mistletoes, and wreaths. He even had on his favorite Christmas sweater with a snowman on it. He was jolly and ready for holiday cheer with family members and close friends.

He had a special gift for one of his closest friends. He was in love with one of his best friends. He was going to confess and give him a kiss underneath the mistletoe after he handed his crush a gift. The gift was wrapped and neatly tucked under the tree, waiting patiently for someone to open it. Inside the box was a pack of savory, sweet chocolates and a couple of games – just in case his crush wasn’t very into the chocolates.

In a few hours, the house was filled with cheer. The Swede’s families and friends came to the party, wielding presents and cards to exchange with others. The house was filled with Christmas cheer and holiday joy. The people murmured quietly amongst themselves and laughter would occasionally fill the house.

After everyone came to the party, the family members and friends sat down to eat a feast together. They shared the meal together, laughing and sharing words of kindness as they ate and enjoyed the presence of their families and friends. After the meal, people split around the room in small groups, talking with each other. The younger ones ran around the house, playing with their friends.

The blonde spotted his crush walking idly in the living room with a box in his hand and a drink in the other. He wanted to laugh. His best friend was wearing his signature poker-face mask, a Santa hat, and a Christmas sweater that had a Christmas tree that was adorned with colorful lights and presents. The blonde smiled and headed over to him, tapping his shoulder.

“Hey, Cry!” The boy, holding his present in his hands with a smile playing at his lips, greeted his friend.

Cry turned around to look at him. “Yeah, Pewds? Oh, here, I have a gift for you, friend.” Cry handed Pewdie a small box, making him beam.

“Thanks! Oh! We should open them at the same time!"

Cry nodded. "Agreed."

"One... Two... Three!" they chanted in unison, opening their gifts at the third number.

"Whoa! Chocolate! Sweet. Thanks, Pewdie!" Cry dug a little more in the package. "And games? You're too nice."

Pewds smiled and looked at his package. He gasped and laughed a little. "Cry! I'm nice?! No way! Headphones!" He cheered and pulled out the blue headphones that caught the light and shined. Pewdie's face was flushed with excitement, smiling hard at the gift.

"I knew you wanted a new pair since your dog destroyed your other pair. Plus, you told me a few months back how much you wanted these," Cry nonchalantly responded.

"And you remembered!"

Cry laughed slightly. "Yeah."

It was silent for a moment. Pewdie broke the silence, clearing his throat and preparing to tell the masked gamer.

"Cry?"

"Hmm?"

"I want to tell you something. I, um - well, you've known me for a while, right?"

He chuckles. "A while? You mean years and years filled with your strange shenanigans? Then, yes."

Pewdie cracked a smile. "Yeah. I thought you were very nice, smart, and cool, you know? Don't get me wrong, I still do, but there was this tiny part of me that liked you more than a friend... Yeah, well, uh, that little feeling grew a little over the many years that you and I have hung out and goofed around."

"Pewdie -"

"I'm just trying to say that I've grown to love you." The blonde was embarrassed, cheeks flushed as he avoided looking at his friend. He braced himself for rejection.

Cry was shocked. He paused a little before he spoke. "Pewds, I didn't know you felt this way. I mean, I noticed that you acted weird when I asked you if you had a girlfriend or something, but I didn't expect this. I've always felt the same way."

Pewdie felt so relieved, but then, he noticed that the people around them murmured with smiles on their faces and pointed at them - no, above them. A mistletoe hung there on a string that was being held by some tape. Pewdie didn't remember placing that mistletoe there, but he was glad that he put it there.

Cry looked at Pewdie. His voice had a hint of mischief. "Hey, a mistletoe. You know what that means."

Pewdie's heart thumped loudly as his crush came closer and closer, moving the mask up with his hand slightly. Pewdie's face became a crimson red. Cry had wrapped an arm around Pewds, who closed his eyes and embraced the next thing coming.

Cry's soft lips met Pewdie's. A cheer rose from the people around them, laughter ensuing. Pewdie didn't want to leave the warm embrace or break away from the sweet kiss. Eventually, Cry pulled away from the warm embrace, smiling.

"I love you," the masked gamer said in his soft, smooth voice.

Pewdie felt his cheeks burn more. He hugged Cry, burying his face in his shoulder, still relieved that Cry didn't bat his feelings aside. He pecked Cry's mask, not wanting to pull off the mask without the gamer's permission. Pewdie shyly murmured, "I love you too, Cry."
