"Once upon a time, there was a man who died. The last story the man was writing was about a brave and handsome prince who vanquishes a crafty raven. When the man died, the raven and the prince escaped from within the story. The prince took out his own heart to seal away the raven. But this power, which had been granted solely to him, was never the less forbidden. Thus sealed, the raven troubled them no more, but the prince's heart was shattered and the shards scrattered all over town. Ever since then, stories and reality has intermingled in the town. Making it a world of fantastical was no longer fantastical."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
{at the lake}
Duck slowly opened her eyes to see a blurry and foggy area.
"Huh, a dream? Where am I? What am I doing here?" she asked herself as she placed her wing to her face.
Wing? As soon as she saw her feathered arm, she dashed towards the lake.
"Huh? What?! No way, no way, no way, no way!" she cried.
She arrived at the lake and gazed at her reflection. Soon sadness over took her.
"Quack...I'm just a duck and I thought I was a girl. When I saved Senior Mytho, was that a dream? Wait, could this be a dream right now?" she asked herself, hopefully when suddenly the lake began to turn black.
"Hehehehe. If you must know, neither of them was a dream, little duck!" said a voice.
The pitch black lake suddenly produced a face of a weird looking old man. Duck screamed (quack) and tumbled back in terror. Then multiple eyes appeared between the trees.
"Quack! Who are you?!" Duck shouts.
"You may address me as Drocilmier." Drocilmier introduced himself. "Do you still want to save the poor Prince whose lost his heart?" He asked.
"The person I want to save is Senior Mytho." Duck replied.
"The Prince was a whole-hearted hero who fought the demonic raven. Well, he was when he was still inside the story." Drocilmier explained as he opened a book with a D on the cover.
"Inside the story?" Duck asked.
"Yes, he came out of the story I wrote and ended up losing his heart to seal the raven away. Shatters to pieces, his lost heart now wonders as a handfull of shards. And Princess Tutu is the only one who can restore his heart." he added.
"The Princess...Tutu?" Duck repeated.
"If you think you are up to the task, I can turn you into a girl once more." D (Drocilmier) proclaimed.
"A girl?! I'll really get to see Senior Mytho again?" Duck asked.
"If you have the resolve, that is?" D reminded her.
"I do, I do! If I could become a girl again and stay by Senior Mythos' side, then maybe someday, someday I might be able to put a smile back on his face. An if that's the one thing I can do then there's nothing more I could wish for." Duck answered her cheeks blushing.
"Congradulations, dream...and your wish is granted. That's the great thing about stories. The duck will become a girl, and the girl will become...Princess Tutu." D explained as he placed a ruby colored pendant around Duck's neck, causing her to transform into the girl version of Duck. "Stories are just wonderful creatures, but if you say or do anything that resembles a duck," he warned as Duck quacked when she noticed that she was naked, turning back into a duck in the process. "You just remember that." he said as he began to fade away.
