It was a late lazy afternoon and Gabby was walking next to Gabe, still reeling from the fact that he was next to her and at the same time that he was the one she dreamt about. The way they fell back into conversation was so easy, like all those years that passed actually had never passed. She would constantly glance and look his way, noticing the confidence and power he carried within him, radiating off of him, sheer magnetism and allure of his big muscular body, black hair long enough for woman to run her fingers through it and gently grip ends, pronounced features of his face; strong jaw, high cheekbones, straight nose, full sensual lips and those mesmerizing dark blue eyes.

The man was stunningly beautiful.

Something was stirring inside her, she felt exhilaration and excitement rousing and she liked the feeling of happiness and anticipation that followed every time she would think of him. Heat would pool down low, butterflies would start to flutter in her belly and she would break in sheen of sweat all over her body. She was attracted to him, she realized. No wonder, the way he looked who wouldn’t be? The guy looked like a GQ front page model and walking billboard advertisement for the sexiest man alive combined.

After her shower earlier today, she got herself a cup of coffee, strong and black, just like Gabe’s she noticed, and went back to the kitchen to make lunch she promised. She was going trough fridge, mentally cataloging everything she saw there and decided on club house sandwiches with fries and salad of tomato, pepper and cucumber with feta cheese. Nina just walked in the kitchen as she finished toasting the bread, she put the fries in the fryer and sliced tomatoes. She was waving her hand in front of her face fanning herself, her face little flustered

“Man, oh man, oh man... if I wasn’t married and so in love with your brother...hmmm”

“So you have seen Gabriel then” Gabby smirked, feeling possessive all of a sudden of Gabe and not liking that her sister in law was ogling him. He was a fine example of a man, but still it bothered her.

“Have you seen him? Hot, hot, hot! Damn girl, what are you doing in here, get out there and snatch that before someone else does!” Gabby stopped suddenly, and with mock horror on her face turned towards Nina and asked:

“You want to snatch Gabriel?” Gabby said jokingly, knowing full on that will never happen.

“Good Lord NO! I got my hazel-gold flecked eyes and pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Wouldn’t trade my one Nick for hundreds of Gabriel’s!” she shuddered “but I am serious about you snatching him; for me, he is just nice to look at. That man can melt woman’s brain and set her body on fire with just a glance. I might be married and taken, but I am not blind damn it!”

“Tell me about it. Got the shock of a lifetime when I saw him today”

“So you are not so immune to him”

“You saw the man, who would be immune to him?” she inhaled deep “I don’t know if I feel that way about him Nina. I could, maybe. We grew up together and I always loved him as my best friend. Though I have to admit that my feathers did get ruffled when I saw him today after so long. Nick ever told you about us and Gabriel and the rest of the gang growing up?

“Yes, I have heard stories and all the trouble and ruckus you guys caused. He was preparing me for Junior and Mimi’s mishaps; we think they will be just as bad as you two.”

“Oh God, that is scary!” Gabby stopped what she was doing, glanced at Nina and gasped “I tell you, Karma! Acorn doesn’t fall to far from the tree” and clasped her hand over her mouth as she started laughing. Nina groaned

“That is not funny, you know. Wait till you have kids, payback is a bitch and I am going to be the one laughing! As for Gabriel, going from friends to more than friends can be the best thing in your life if the right feelings and emotions are there. Give yourself time and find out”
