You hear the water boiling. The church goers turn around looking at you ,the fear in their eyes was very apparent. Your own fear starting to boil in your stomach, your skin burns like fire, you turn around and walk out as calmly as you can. As you're leaving you hear the whispers of the people behind you. As you walk outside the cold air hitting your hot skin you start feeling a little better. Well until the voices in you head start talking. "You're a monster, a disease, a curse...". You try to ignore the voices as you walk home, silent tears falling down your face. When you get home you go straight to your room and cry yourself to sleep, tears burning your skin, you dream.... fire, fire burning all around you. People's cries of pain, and agony ringing in your ear..... you wake up to the smoke alarm going off. You look around dazed until you see the small controlled fire in the corner of your room, running to the fire extinguisher in your kitchen, you put the fire out. Wondering how it even started to begin with. It's a good thing you live by yourself you think, weird things have been happening lately, the fire isn't even the weirdest part, last night you had a friend over to party and next thing you knew it was like you were looking at yourself through their eyes and you heard their voice in your ear and saw flashbacks of their life zooming by, learning your friends whole life story, seeing both the good and the bad. Then everything goes black and you find yourself waking up across from your friend. You tell yourself what happened must have been a dream, but something tells you it wasn't. All doubt fades when your friend complains about a headache and starts crying, telling you everything you just saw in their head. You hold them close to you telling them that it will be okay as you fall apart inside. Shook up by what happened both you and your friend decide it's best if they go home , you offer to take them home but they say they need to be alone. As you say your goodbyes the voices in your head start talking louder than ever have " Monster! Freak! Demon!" That last word hits you hard. You don't know why but it feels familiar, you ignore it for now not thinking to much of it. When you wake up the next morning after a restless sleep you decide to go to church hoping maybe that would save you. You think back as far as you remember but you don't remember ever going to church. The holy water was boiling how did that happen and why when you walked in? The looks on those peoples faces are scared in your mind. First the possession? Is that what it was? Did you possess your friend? Then the water boiling and now the fire. What does this all mean? Are you really the monster the voices say you are?
