~ Heather's POV ~

I walked into my history class and plopped into my seat. To my right was one of my close friends, Izzy. Although I wasn't very social, Izzy and I immediately became friends after we had an inspiring conversation about whether waffles or pancakes were better.

To my left, was my other close friend, Eliza. She and Izzy became friends before I became friends with her, and when Izzy introduced her to me, we became close as well.

"Guys! Did you hear about the new students transferring here?" Izzy asked us.

"That's probably just some gossip," Eliza replied.

"No! I know it's true," Izzy huffed.

"Who did you hear it from?" I piped up.

"The office ladies. I heard them talking while I was waiting to be picked up early yesterday," Izzy said smugly.

"You know the office ladies love to gossip, right? It's probably just a rumor," Eliza retorted.

"Jeffy told me that she and her twin sister were transferring here though! They're probably the students that the office ladies were talking about!" Izzy sighed.

Who's Jeffy? I was about to ask, but decided not to because that would sound stupid.

"Jeffy? No, she lives far away. She can't be coming here... right?" Eliza asked.

As Eliza and Izzy continued talking about this "Jeffy" person, I tuned out on them and stared off into space. I wonder who Jeffy and her sister are...

~ Jeff's POV ~

I stepped out of my parents' car and stared at my new house, awed at how much nicer it looked than my old house.

Maybe moving here isn't as bad as I originally thought it was going to be, I thought to myself.

I briefly glanced at the other houses around my neighborhood, and noticed a boy staring at me out of a window of one of the houses. He wore a wide, disturbing smile.

I looked away, feeling extremely creeped out by this random weirdo. When I glanced back at the window from where he was staring at me, he was still there, still staring. I felt my face turn red from embarrassment as I quickly hurried inside my new house to escape from the random boy.

I let out a sigh of relief, but nearly had a heart attack as my sister, Jeffy, popped out of nowhere and asked, "Who was that guy who was staring at you?"

"How am I supposed to know?" I asked, still baffled by the boy's creepiness.

"I bet he has a crush on you," Jeffy winked.

"Shut up," I mumbled as I felt my face turn red again.

"Anyways, are you excited that we have to go to school tomorrow?" Jeffy changed the subject, which I was glad for.

"Of course not. It's school, remember?" I reminded her.

"Yeah, but we could make new friends at our new school!" Jeffy said enthusiastically.

"I'm not very social, though," I sighed.

"It's okay, Jeff! Izzy and Eliza are at our new school." Jeffy smiled.

"Uh.. who are those people?" I asked.

"Some of my friends. We know each other because I talked to them online and stuff," Jeffy said happily.

"Oh. I don't know if they would want to be my friend, though," I replied dejectedly.

"Well.. they said that they had one more person in their friend group named Heather. I don't really know her either, so maybe you could try to be friends with her!" Jeffy suggested.

"I mean.. sure, why not?" I replied, trying to sound more enthusiastic.

Our parents suddenly walked into the house, and as Jeffy started chatting with them, my thoughts drifted elsewhere. Heather, huh? Maybe we could be friends?
