I woke up on my desk, picking up the dried drool that dribbled from the corner of my mouth to my chin. I straighten my T shirt, looking around at everyone leaving a classroom. My teacher, Mrs. Axel was giving back test grades and was secretly giving me a distasteful glare. I sighed, knowing I was in big trouble. I got my book bag from under my desk and went to the blond haired teacher

"I see you are awake, Mr. Morrow," The old lady half sneered, half scolded at me. I mentally rolled my eyes, cursing out to the elderly teacher. I never liked Mrs. Axel, but I wouldn't say that I downright hated her. I did well in her class and said hi to her in the hallways. Though she was a mysterious and aloof teacher, she was a nice person, helping students when they needed it. I just didn't quite understand her sometimes

Plus....she just seemed so off. Like she doesn't even belong teaching at this school. I don't mean to sound rude, but I found her unsettling at some points

I huffed, turning to her again, a fake apologetic expression on my face. "My apologizes, Mrs. Axel. I didn't...get much sleep last night," I let out a small smile, tapping my foot impatiently. I really wanted to get out of her classroom as fast as I could. I wanted to meet up with my twin brother, Joshua and go to the 7/11 around the corner of our house. It was Friday, which means that it was our day. The day. The day we can relax and just play video games and eat pizza without worrying about homework or studying. It sounds cheesy as hell, but we always had this tradition since we were kids

"Well I think a good night sleep is in favor for you," She smirked, handing me back my old test from a week ago. 100% was marked in blue ink for me. I smiled, shoving the test in my bag, about to thank her and leave. But before I could move my foot, she stopped me again, raising her hand as if she wasn't done

"Mr. Morrow, just because you did great on your test, doesn't mean that you are allowed to sleep in class," She grumbled, crossing her pink clothed arms. I sighed, looking down at my combat boots. I gripped on the strap of my book bag and nodded, half in shame, and half in embarrassment. She got me there

"I know. I'm sorry again, Mrs. Axel," I just kept nodding awkwardly, hoping that this time she would let me out. Apparently, she had other plans and walked closer to me, leaving only several inches between us

"Mr. Morrow....Casper...you're a bright student. I know you are. You have potential for many great things. But just because you are smart, doesn't mean you can just relax in class. Hard work pays off," She lectured me. I mentally groaned, throwing my head back

This....THIS was a pain in the ass. She always gave me the same speech every time I was doing my own thing in class. I don't say this to brag, but I'm a pretty smart guy. I usually get A's in every single class, even in AP's. I was currently a Senior in High School and my principal said if I keep up my good work, I may get to be the Valedictorian for my class

Anyways, I was also a lazy person. I liked playing video games with Joshua, shoving junk food in my face, playing on my Nintendo Switch, and texting my friends. Though I didn't have many, the few I did have made me feel worth something. I kept nodding to my teacher, but Mrs. Axel wasn't the dumbest person in the world. She could tell that I was staying quiet--what she called "I wasn't getting the message".

The grey haired lady sighed, rummaging through her desk. She plucked a paper from her drawer and slammed it shut. She handed it to me, pointing to the Title "Extra Credit"

"Extra Credit. You don't need it, but you do need to know the hard work that is necessary of success in the future. I'll tell you what: You finish this assignment and give me a flawless, A+ work and effort...I'll let you take ONE day off from this class for each quarter," She smiled. I just cocked my brow, challenging her deal
