Why God? WHY?

It was just an ordinary day when it all began. I had just cleaned out all the stalls for the animals and Hazel had collected all the eggs.
"How many eggs did we get today?" I asked.
"Only eight." Hazel replied with a disappointed look on her face.
"Don't you worry Hazel they will lay more eggs." I said with a little giggle.
"Can we swing on the playground for a little?"
"Sure!" I replied.
I helped Hazel get on the swing then I hopped on the other. I love swinging so much. It's just so relaxing. I was so happy and full of joy. Looking at God's beautiful creation. We swang for about fifteen minutes when we decided we were done.
We went inside to get some water when I heard a loud thump and bang in the bathroom.
"Mom you okay? Mom?"
She didn't answer. I ran to see what had happened when I saw my mother passed out on the floor with blood running out of her head.
"DAD COME HERE QUICK MOM HIT HER HEAD!"
I had never seen my dad run so fast in my life.
"LEO CALL 911 NOW!" dad screamed.
Leo ran to get his phone and called. Dad picked mom up in his arms and held a towel on her head. I decided that this was too much for Hazel so I took her into our room.
"Is mommy going to be ok?" Hazel said with tears in her eyes.
"Mommy is going to be just fine. Don't worry she will be just fine." I said while holding Hazel in my arms
"We should pray for her Ellie."
Hazel started to pray and in that moment I felt so much peace. A peace I knew could only be from God. But why did I feel peace in a time of chaos?
The ambulance arrived and took mom, dad decided to go with her. Leo stayed behind with us. I was in complete shock. Everything that just happened didn't register with my brain yet. We all sat in silence at the dinner table until dad called us.
"RING RING"
Leo answered the phone right away. Then he ended the call a few minutes later.
"Mom is okay, she will be okay. She is awake now but not responding. They think she had a seizure." Leo said in a soft tone.
"What does that mean? Does mom have something wrong with her?" I asked
"They don't know yet."
"When can we go see mommy?" Hazel asked Leo.
"I don't know sweetie, but I know that God has mommy and He will take good care of her for us."
I could only think of how this might scar Hazel. I mean she is only five and she just saw her mom passed out with blood pouring out of her head.
"Lord please don't take her, please don't take her," I repeated in my mind.
If God has a plan for our lives, how can this be in His plan? Why let this happen to us? How can a just God do this to us? I started to get angry at God. But then all I could think of was how mom would say that God uses terrible things and turns them into something meaningful and powerful. But why God? Why? Why let this happen?
