"Andromeda, I swear to all fucking things in the fucking world..."

"Harry, it'll be fine."

"You can't seriously expect me to agree to-"

Andromeda snorted. "I'm sorry, but every time you say that word, it makes me think of him."

Harry scrunched you his nose and sighed, setting down his water glass on the granite countertops. The glass clinked against the smooth surface of the stone, making an almost metallic sound with short porcelain undertones.

"That was totally uncalled for. Now I'm thinking of him too."

"And that's bad because...?"

Harry sighed. "Because we're talking about other matters. You can't actually believe I'm going to let this happen, can you? I thought you were smarter than this, Romy."

"And Harry, you're-"

"Sick? I know. But it's barely a cough and a sniffle; and they're sporadic, too. Please, Romy, you can't just replace me..."

"Oh Harry, I could never replace you." Andromeda gave Harry a small smile. "After all of the things you've done for us, the things you do for us, I could never even begin to think of a way to replace you."

"Then don't. Don't let someone else waltz in and take over my job-"

"I assure you, no one could ever take the role of godfather away from you, but you have to understand that you can't be there all the time-"

"Bullshit! I can and will be there at every fucking moment of every fucking day if I have to. You can't be serious-"

She snorted again.

"Oh, for fuck's sake. Andromeda, I'm begging you, just give me more time. All I'm asking for is more time with Teddy before you let someone else, someone who he's never met-"

"You didn't even let me finish." Andromeda sighed heavily. "Drink your water, Harry. You need to keep talking fluids. You're sick."

Harry grumbled, but did as he was told, hoping that, somehow, the water would have magical properties that he had been unaware of and that it would just fix his fucking cold. His throat burned with every swallow, but he wasn't about to tell Andromeda that.

"And now," she continued, "you get to hear the rest of my idea. As I said before, Draco will come over-"

Harry's face scrunched again.

"And he'll watch Teddy because you're obviously under the weather. And you'll get to stay here the whole time, making whatever suggestions or comments you want, and in the end everything will have worked out and I'll get to tell you that I told you so."

Harry's pertinent scowl lifted a bit at that, but he didn't look entirely on board with the idea.

"And if something goes wrong?"

"I'm sure you can handle it. I mean, if you're so certain that you can come over and watch him while you're sick, then there's no reason to believe that you and Draco can't handle it together."

Harry mulled it over, very expressive with his thought process as he considered the idea. It wasn't common for Andromeda to have to leave randomly, but this time it was important. The wedding that her floral shoppe had been completely prepared for, the one that was supposed to happen a month in the future, had been dated wrong over the post, and was actually much much much earlier. Harry normally wouldn't have had a problem when it came to helping out with Teddy, his godson, but he was sick now, and since Teddy was still so little, Andromeda was hesitant to leave the two together for fear of Teddy contracting whatever Harry had.
