I wake up to my mom barging into my room.

Y/m: Y/n get up! You're going to be late. We don't want your dad to get upset so please get up.

Y/n: I'm up, I'm up

With that my mom leaves shutting the door behind her. I get up and did my daily routine. Today I decided to wear this ⤵️

I grab my phone, AirPods, and backpack before leaving my room. I make it out the front door without running into my dad.

By the way, my dad is abusive so I try my best to avoid him. My mom and I can't do anything about it since we are both weak and we would be living on the streets without him. Anyway...

I connect my AirPods to my phone and put them in my ears. I take my time walking to school- oh wait! I meant to say hell. I get bullied everyday for no reason. Maybe because of my looks? Am I not pretty enough? Am I ugly? Does anyone care about me? But at least I have a friend. My one and only friend is Robert. I am thankful for having him in my life. He knows everything that is going on in my life.

I snap out of my thoughts once I hear someone yell my name.

???: Y/n!

I look around trying to find whoever called my name. Then my eyes met robert's eyes. He was standing in front of the school's entrance. I smile at him and receive a smile back. I make my way towards him and hug him.

Robert: ready?

Y/n: I guess. I just wish that life was different, you know?

He nods then we make our way inside. He walked me to my locker and then my first period. We both wave at each other goodbye as I walk into the classroom. I take a seat in the back and place my head down hoping that no one would bother me. Soon everyone started filling in the empty seats. You could hear people laughing and talking but then it got quiete. Meaning that the teacher walked in.

Teacher: Ok students, today we have a new student.

I look up to meet eyes with a boy with dark brown, curly hair. He was wearing light washed ripped jeans with a plain baby blue shirt. He was just smiling at me so I smiled back but then I looked away. Not smiling back is rude right?

Teacher: You may introduce yourself

???: Hey I'm mar

Teacher: take a seat anywhere

After a few seconds, I feel a presence next to me. I turn to my left to meet his eyes again.

Mar: Hey..

Y/n: Hey

I smiled at him and he returned one too. He seemed like a nice guy.

Mar: You have a beautiful smile. What your name?

I blush at his compliment. I look down trying to hide it. He started chuckling quietly while keeping his eyes on me.

Y/n: I'm y/n

Mar and I have been talking and getting along during class. I even laughed a few times. That was soon ruined by the bell.

I put everything away and start walking out the door. I felt someone's hand on my wrist, I turn around so see mar smiling ear to ear.

Mar: Want to sit with me during lunch?

Y/n: uhm sure.. is it ok if my friend joins us?

Mar: yea, no problem

We both smiled at each other. I was about to turn around but then Mar quickly walked up to me and hugged me. I was confused. The only person I've ever hugged for years is Robert. I'm not used to receiving hugs by anyone else. I snapped out of my thought and hugged back. If felt so nice. I felt safe in a way like I didn't want to let go. After a few seconds he backed away

Mar: Cya at lunch!

He started to jog away while yelling back at me. I just laughed and walked toward my locker. I got what I needed and made my way to my second period. Then I see him....
