It started like any other day. I woke up late, took too long in the shower, knocked everything over trying to find the soap, fell down the stairs, and ate my breakfast in the car on the way to school. I guess you could say i'm the worst at being blind. i just recently lost my sight. there was an accident at school, and well, I won't get into the details but, now i live in complete darkness.
I some how got through school. bumped into at least twelve people, stumbled around to find my classes, ended up in the girls bathroom, got laughed at by everyone, and lunch is even grosser when you can't see what your eating. it was a long day of hectic running around and not knowing where i was going. I met up with my friend Tyson for a while after school and we laughed at how crazy my day was. Tyson went to a private school a few towns over because he got kicked out of Westberg High for his anger issues. It was pretty funny actually, this kid was acting all tough and messing with him and Ty just knocked him out like it was nothing! We aimlessly walked around, not really talking but, just thinking about life and what we wish was different, what we would change. i'd often think of a place where i could be alone, picture in my mind a world where i could see, a world where things were different, a world where i could be me and be accepted for that. We walked for about an hour, got some cheese fries from a local diner and went home.
When i walked in the door all i heard was my mom yelling at my little brother, Zeke. She kept yelling, "Again? really? are you freaking kidding me?" She was obviously more angry than usual. My little brother had a bed wetting problem, well really it was an everything wetting problem but, i don't blame him.he's only four, my mom never takes him to the bathroom, andkids wet themselves from time to time. But that's what i heard every day. Crying, yelling, my dad snoring on the couch watching god knows what on the TV. I started to space out thinking about life when all of a sudden i hear my mom yell, "Finley Dear?" I cringed, walked into the kitchen and said, "What darling?" I then got a dirty look and was asked to dry some dishes. My mom thought then was a good time to ask about my day, "it was just like always, ran into stuff and got lost" she then told me some news i never wanted to hear. she said, "you got accepted to Harpfield!" I just looked down into the darkness. Harpfield is a school for the blind, its about twenty minutes away and i did not want to go! "It will really help you, and you can meet kids like you!" She said. This made me mad!"Just because i can't see doesn't mean i'm all of a sudden cut of from the rest of the world!" As i was ranting in my head my mom left the room and i was left to do the dishes alone. I finished up, made me a ham and cucumber sandwich, accidentally put yogurt instead of mayo but, it wasn't half bad. I then went up to my room, put on some music and fell asleep, just hoping i wouldn'y have to go to a blind kid school.
