The Girl's POV
"Please just another month. I'll pay my rent once I get a job. Please" She pleaded with her legs on the ground.
"No more, no more. You have been living here for 6 months and you've consumed your deposit already. Pack your things now! A family will be coming here to live in this apartment, Clean it up before you leave. Its the least you can do." the apartment owner said without looking back.
"But, sir. I have no other place to go to" she held one of the owners leg but the owner shake her leg and let go of her hand.
"Its none of my business. I've given you enough time and patience" the owner said and left.
"Please" she begged but she knew that she really needed to go this time.
I have to find a new room soon. Now that I have a month left before classes starts. Ever since, my mom left then my dad died because of depression. I was working, studying and paying off the debt my mom left us. I wonder what else the world have for me. I guess, happiness are only given to those who are lucky and perhaps, I am not one of those lucky people. I must continue to walk to a never-ending search of a new home. Ohh. Damn. Someone was calling me.
"Hello? Is this Ms. Gabriel?"
"Yes, who may I ask is this? I'm sorry, I wasn't able to pick up your calls"
"It's your loan payer"
"Loan payer?"
"It's me, Monty. Monty, your bestie. Monty, the prettiest girl alive aside from you. Monty, your ex- boyfriend's sistaaaaa" I stopped from walking and decided to sit on the cement ground of the street walk.
"Sorry, Monty. I had a lot in my mind right now. thank you for paying my debt, bes. Or atlease, it's for me but not mine."
"No need to hurry, bestie. I got you covered. I have a lot of investments and you are one of them. Soon, when I sit in my position of my company CEO. I'll have you as my COO then you can pay me"
"Promise. I'll pay you soon"
"Ahh- ahhh. Shhh. Actually, don't pay me already. I just remembered that my fucking brother had a huge debt on your heart. Consider the debt I payed just now, done"
"But...Monty. It's not your fault—"
"my brother's a jerk for letting you go when you needed him the most, when in fact he really love you so much but chose our business and broke up with you? It's his fault, girl.
Silence has passed on our call. Monty or Montefalco Paulette Tan Sy have been my bestfriend since Elementary. I met her when her brother, my ex, introduced me to her. She was a shy girl not until we become so close. She has always been there for me.
"Soooo....... where are you? Are you at your apartment?" Monty asked
"No, I actually left my apartment. I have to start looking for a new and cheaper one"
"You know what. I might have a place for you. I just saw my aunt's friend of a friend post a for rent on my sns. Wait. I'll send you the link and number. Just say my name and consider it free"
"I won't say your name. I want to pay for it, bestie."
"By the way, are you going to study at ADMU too?"
"Nope. I passed in UP!"
"What a lucky girl!"
"I think so? but I can't stay in the dorm because of my job"
