The Place of Betrayal And Pain

Standing beside Thalia's Pine, I took a deep breath and tried to suck in every single detail of the place I once called "My Home". I felt nostalgic. I missed this place.

I stood in front of them then,I looked at the other Chaos Warriors with their dark blue hoods on. We looked all alike. Except for the body sizes. Chaos told me that there was nothing to worry about because only the Warriors can see my face from under the hood. The others can only see my mouth and the upper portion of my face is covered in a dark shadow. The hoods were plain amazing.

I saw five campers, a few meters behind, and Chiron come up the hill. Two were in purple Camp Jupiter shirts and the rest were in orange Camp Half-Blood shirts.

Chiron came up towards us in his horse-form. "Hello. You must be Lord Chaos' Warriors."

"Yes, we are." Luke answered back. "Master Chiron, correct?"

"Chiron only, child." He was trying to be modest but it was obvious that he was pleased.

"Of course."

"You know the reason why Chaos sent us, right?" Leo asked, on his toes looking to see the coming campers. Chiron nodded his head. "Good 'cause I don't want to explain things anymore...I just want this over with."

Chiron looked at us strangely. "Very well." He turned around. "I bring to you a few of my very best students."

With that, the four campers arrived. I sucked my breath.

"Where's--" Chiron got interrupted by Percy.

"He left something in his Cabin. He'll arrive here soon."

"Of course. Now, please start introducing yourselves."

"My name's Percy." Percy came up to me and held out his hand. I just looked at it and back to him. I made it quite clear with that gesture that the Soldiers and I came here to fight. Not to make friends. "Okay then..." He took his hand away and placed it inside his pocket.

Annabeth walked forward replacing Percy and looked at me from head to toe. "Why are you wearing a hood?" I just looked at her. I refused to speak because I feared that my voice would crack. Another reason was that if I say anything, I might accidentally tell her I missed her. Thus, blowing my cover.

Luckily, Silena covered for me. "We want to keep our identities a secret."

"Why?"

"If the enemy knew our identities..." All the soldiers shared a knowing glance. "Let's say...We'd be dead."

"Wait--"

Zoe signalled her to close her mouth. "Can you introduce yourselves first, before the questions?"

That made Annabeth sigh and stand beside Percy. Then Percy slipped his hand into hers. I could tell by looking at Silena's white knuckles, she was trying hard not to squeal and let her inner Aphrodite show.

"My name's Frank." Frank gripped his bow, with an arrow already notched, and looked at us. By looking at his eyes, I could tell he didn't trust us. If one of us makes a wrong move...ZIPPP! That person will end up sleeping...forever. I doubt Frank will miss by a single millimeter.

"I'm Hazel." Hazel spoke without lifting her head.

Calypso looked concerned for her, even though they've only met, and Hazel's boyfriend has a bow ready. Calypso walked pass me and went to Hazel's side. Frank didn't even move an inch, completely stunned of Calypso's sudden kindness. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

"Y-Yeah. It's just..." Hazel trailed off.

"What?"

"Aren't all of you supposed to be dead?" She pointed at us.

Silence dropped like a curtain. No one uttered a single word. Only the constant shouts of campers in training, on the other side of the hill were heard.

"What would make you think that?" Bianca asked, nonchalantly, looking at her nails, which she does when she's nervous.

"Y-Your aura...It's...different." She looked away, as if she was embarrassed by speaking out her thoughts.

"But Hazel, it could be because their Warriors." Annabeth reasoned.

"Yeah but...I know they're supposed to be dead Except her."--She jabbed a thumb at Calypso and looked up. I was shocked to see her eyes full of determination to prove that she was right. "And her." She pointed her index finger at me, making me a little--okay, very--self-conscious.

"Whatever you say..." Annabeth didn't look even a little bit convinced.

Hazel sighed. "I just know..."

I was about to order my soldiers to enter but I saw a very familiar person. One of the last people I saw before leaving this place. I felt my feet go cold. My eyes darting anywhere except in his direction. This is bad.

"You're late." Chiron looked at him disappointed.

"Busted!" Percy and Leo piped up at the same time. They eyed each other and smiled. "Potato! Cheese! Hahaha. Okay, stop copying me. I said stop! Stop--"

They were both silenced when Annabeth and Zoe hit the boy beside them upside the head.

"Ow!" They chorused again.

"Why do I have to live in a world with idiots?" Ethan said, jokingly but Castor thought it was directed at him

"Oh..." He mumbled. "Like you aren't."

"Seriously," Lee looked at them. "How did you even get into this elite army?"

"Magic!" Michael made an invisible arc with his hands.

Chiron cleared his throat.

Beckendorf took this signal as a sign to speak up. "I think it's time to stop joking around. We are in the middle of a war here and you're playing. What would Lord Chaos think? Please...Just please focus. You can play around after the fight. You can do it all you can in Planet Chaos. Just not here."

All the soldiers kept quiet and stood up straighter. When Beckendorf speaks in that tone, it's time to focus and stop joking around. If you don't...Let's just say that you shouldn't be surprised if the next day, all your clothes are scorched.

"Can I introduce myself now?" I was too focused on Beckendorf and the others that I forgot he was here. He walked forward, stuck out his hand and said the words that will soon remain in my head for the next few days that I'm here in Camp.

"Hi, nice to meet you. My name's Jason Grace."

Dedication for next chapter will go to the next person who can answer this. Yeah, it might be hard to get for some of you.(Sorry to those who aren't Athenians, but this is quite easy)

Yellow.

If none of you get it, then I'll give it to the person who comments first.
