I was never really proud of my last name. Ugliano....that just sounded like Shit!
But the main problem was probably my father. Well, he was not a really great person. If there were a competition for the worst husband and father, he would surely have done well.
Gabe was never there for me. The only thing he did every day was drinking beer, eating guacamole and playing poker. Even worse was that he mishandled my mother. It was just terrible!
My brother,percy didn't notice that as much as I did. Since he was often at a boarding school. Far away from home.
It was all for his safety. At least that's what mom always said.
I never fully understood that. I mean the only reason for my existence was that mom wanted to protect percy again.
Gabe wanted to leave her. So she got me. So he had no choice but to stay.
I was nothing more than a survival strategy. To be honest, i was often jealous of percy.
He always got the most attention and concern. How did I go? Everyone didn't care. At least that's what I thought.
Nevertheless,my mother always loved me and it was only when I got older that I realized that.
At 9 I was told the truth about percy.
He was a demigod.
Half-human, half-God.
That's when he had to go to this summer camp.
In the meantime I was sent to my paternal grandpa in Manhattan.
When I came back my father had been turned into a statue and sold to an art gallery. But I wasn't sad. I was relieved.
He was gone.
Then my mother bought a brand new apartment with the money.
We were finally happy. Of course percy was often in this summer camp and something dangerous happened almost every year. I guess that was life for a demigod.
Mom later remarried. A man named Paul Blofis. He was a teacher.
Which gave her another daughter. She named her after our grandmother Estelle.
I am now 18 and would visit my brother. He was 21 and rented an apartment with Annabeth.
It wasn't far from camp half-blood.
But close enough so that a mortal as I could visit them.
