{in this story, it is a warm early june day in central park. Eiji is wearing a blue and yellow hawaiian shirt tucked into blue bleached jeans that are cuffed at the bottom. He is wearing a black belt with a small sterling clasp. He is wearing gold aviator sunglasses with light yellow tinted lenses. On his feet he is wearing white ribbed socks with AF1s that Ash got Eiji for his 20th birthday. Ash is wearing his hair tied back in a bun with a white ribbon with two strands of hair loose on his forehead. He has on a oversized but breathable cream colored llama wool sweater tucked into black ripped jeans that are also cuffed at the bottom. On his feet, he is wearing low rise black doc martens with yellow laces.}

the song above is a song that Eiji and Ash sing and dance to. When Ash sings, it is in italics. When Eiji sings, it is in bold. When they sing together, it is underlined. ENJOY!!)

Ash stepped away from the stand holding two cones of ice cream. One was cake batter with rainbow sprinkles and the other was peppermint without sprinkles.

"Which one d'ya want?" Ash tilted his head while asking, a sprinkle falling onto his hand.

Eiji gingerly flicked the sprinkle off of Ash's hand and grabbed the cake batter cone.

"I have never had this flavor in America before!" Eiji chirped excitedly, his eyes glazing over the cone, smiling.

"h-hey watch it!" Ash pushed Eiji's hand up toward his mouth.

"It's gonna melt if you just stare at it,  kid!" Ash sighed and then smirked. He backed up toward Eiji and then tapped his elbow into Eiji's arm, making the melting ice cream collide into Eiji's nose.

Ash burst out into laughter, covering his eyes with his hand. Eiji looked down at the blob of ice cream on the tip of his nose. "Hey- you did that on purpose, didn't you?" Eiji rolled his eyes but then laughed under his breath. He poked his finger into the red and white ice cream in Ash's hand and smeared it on his nose, Ash's emerald eyes widening in disbelief.

Ash snickered and then bent over and wiped his nose on Eiji's shirt

"Wh- I- you are a child." Eiji crossed his arms and was about to strike back when he heard a familiar tune playing from a speaker by the trees.

Eiji's eyes lit up like two stars as he jogged over to the inground marble speaker surrounded by white quartz stone. The marble itself was a slate gray color with flecks of black. The sun glinted off the black metal of the speaker as the song's sweet melody melted in his ear drums like a candle against a flame. Eiji listened for a second before taking a deep breath and tapping his foot to the beat.

"Hurry baby...we have to go.."

Eiji's singing voice was much different than his speaking voice. His obvious japanese accent was hidden within each lyric. He sang at a baritone/alto pitch, not very low but not very high either. It sounded almost jazz-like

"Trains dont wait for lovers...you know.."

Eiji's eyes twinkled in delight as his blonde friends silky voice sang the other lyric. Ash raised an eyebrow at his ravenette partner and shook his head as if to say "Ya you got me to sing, im impressed."

"I really hate to wake you up"

"You look so peaceful, myy love~"

Ash gazed at Eiji, happy to see him relaxed and so excited about something so trivial like a song in the park....things were still stressful for the pair. Blanca is no where to be found and neither is Fox. Their gang had been on high alert for a while but things just started getting back to normal. Watching Eiji adapt to such conditions made Ash's heart flutter but it also made his stomach sink with guilt. Eiji looked up from the ground and momentarily locked eyes with Ash. Eiji looked away bashfully and continued to sing, his cheeks reddening.
