As Noah ran faster, he felt his sister tightening her grip on his black fur. Howling to the sky, Noah had just alerted the pack warriors that him and Hannah were passing by. As Noah passed a few of the warrior's that were set to protect the pack house, Noah noticed a few of bow there heads. Noah simply rolled his eyes, he wasn't Alpha yet and they were starting to treat him like one. Quickening his pace Noah was able to make it to the pack house just before the sun had completely hidden behind the trees.
Laying on her brothers back Hannah let out a sigh of relief. "Oh thank god I'm still alive" Hannah murmured into his fur. Not expecting Noah to hear her, Hannah sat up in surprise as she heard him laughing, well more like barking since he was still in wolf form. Starting to get annoyed Hannah raised her hand and pulled a bit of Noah's fur. Taken by surprise Noah yelped before growling at his sister in a playful matter.
Hopping off his back Hannah started walking towards the house door but not before pulling on Noah's fur once again "Stop growling, you sound like an old car " Hannah said in a teasing tone. Not wanting to hear anymore of her brothers growling Hannah ran the rest of the way to the house door but not before almost tripping over the porch steps.
Hearing another roar of barking behind her, Hannah simply rolled her eyes and walked to the door as if nothing had happened. Once at the door Hannah quietly swung the door opened only to freeze in her tracks.
Standing before her was her mother, arms crossed and with a glare that could bring fear to anyone m receiving it, including the Alpha. Hannah quickly bowed her head in respect but also wished she could hide. Before Hannah could explain why she and Noah were late, her mother spoke. "I don't want to hear it, your father already told me why you two are late. I hope next time you and your brother learn to tell me you will be late because as of now both of you are grounded".
Not realize that Noah had just entered the house, Hannah was about to tell there mother it was her brothers fault for being late. When her brother spoke "Mom, please. We didn't mean to!! I love you, we just need to hug this out"
As Noah was about to hug his mom, she slapped his hands away "Not happening, your still grounded until I say so. Now go get cleaned up, I don't want you smelling the house up and you better be down for dinner later" Said Valerie as pointing up stairs. Noah huffed in disbelief and started walking up stairs but not before giving his mother a hurt puppy look to which the only response he got from his mother was her placing her hands on her hips.
Claiming the rest of the stairs in defeat Valerie waited for her son to be put of site before turning to her daughter. "Come with me sweetheart, I want to talk to you" Valerie said in a gentle tone. Hannah looked at her mother in curiosity but followed her mother anyways as they walked down the hallway that leads to her fathers office.
As Hannah and her mother walked down the hallway. Hannah entertained herself by looking at the the pictures that hang from the walls, some of the pictures looked decades old while some looked like they were fairly new. However one picture she had never noticed before caught her attention, in the picture there was a young man and beside him was the most beautiful white wolf she had ever seen. Not realizing she had stopped to take a better look at the picture she felt her mother move next to her to get a better look of the picture to. After a few seconds her mother spoke "That is your great grandfather and his mate".
Hannah smiled at her mother, she had never seen a picture of either of her great grandparents. Hannah had heard such great stories about them. They were great leaders. Hannah turned towards her mother "The pack still looks up to them, my great grandparents surely were great role models to the generation after there rule" said Hannah.
Valerie looked at her daughter with pride, it was great that her daughter was taking interest in there family history. "They were excellent people, and I will tell you a little more about them after we finish with our chat" said Valerie.
