**context, I had to make a project for my history class based on the civil war and I decided to write a poem about the confederate flag**

The red on the flag,

Stands for the blood of christ,

Then why do you enslave others,

Instead of freeing those with human rights.

White stands for the protection of god,

But when you see people dying, bleeding,

You just smiled,

And nod.

Thirteen stars,

Stands for the thirteen lands,

All letting people beat fellow men,

And not lending a hand.

The X marks the saint,

Which none of you are,

Standing all against justice,

Well innocent people are seemingly behind bars.

You say you mean liberty,

And freedom for all,

But the evil never wins,

And good will rise while you fall
