Virgils POV

When people are brought to the mind palace, they have their own secrets. They can choose to tell people, or keep it a secret. One of those are our names. Of course I know their names, Patton, Roman, and Logan, but they don't know mine, and I don't think they ever will.

Patton said his secret thing is a book. Anything he writes, can happen, but it drains his energy in the process. He mostly uses it to clean, cook, and other normal things.

Logan's secret item is a pair of glasses, He said he typically doesn't use them, unless he needs to. He can turn invisible and see through walls. I wish I had that, I'd love to be invisible.

Romans item is a rose necklace made of gold. When wearing it he can move things with his mind. Super cool right?

Mine.. mine is horrible. I never want to tell anyone about them. I wish I never got these.

Dark Wings

What's wrong with wings you ask? These give me powers. If I have a very strong emotion, like anger or sadness, they.. they make me destructive. I can't control them yet, I've been trying. But it always leaves me destroying something and me unconscious on the ground.

I never want to hurt them. Ever.

"Where's Anxiety? We have a video to shoot!" Patton asked. The others shrugged, not really caring.

"Why do we need him?" Roman asked looking at Pat who was clearly upset by the question.

"Anxiety is our friend and one of the sides! That's why!" Patton said as he got up and started to walk to the dark mysterious door.

"Kiddo , you up?" He asked knocking on the door. Silence. He knocked again, "ANXIETY! Video time!" he yelled. Still silence.

He noticed the door was unlocked, so he just opened it. He gasped as he saw Anxiety's balcony door open. "GUYS!" he yelled, afraid something bad might've happened.

"HES NOT THERE! HE MUST'VE.. MUST'VE.. JUMPED!" Patton yelled sobbing into Logan's arms uncontrollably.

"Patton, there is no reason to be upset. You can't forejudge yet. He most likely left it open on accident. Please try to calm down." Logan said trying to.. comfort?.. comfort Patton.

Patton sniffed and tried to pull himself together, "Where should we look first?"

Virgils POV

Today's the day... or not. All I need to do is focus.

I tried making myself really sad by thinking of dark stuff, and it worked. I felt the feeling of my wings appearing on my back.

I stood near the end of the cliff that goes straight into a pool of water from a waterfall. The view was beautiful, the water sparkling, the sky a beautiful pink orange and purple mixture. It was so calm.

I expanded my wings, prepared myself to jump. Of course my anxiety was stopping me from moving. I've done this so many times before and I'm fine, but what if?

I brushed away that thought, took a deep breath, and let my body go.

Falling felt calm

Relaxing

Free

I caught myself right before hitting the water. I let my left wing graze the water before flying myself straight to the clouds.

All of my anxiety was gone, for just a moment I felt normal. Until...

My phone ringed, scaring the crap out of me. It was Patton.

"Kiddo! Where are you?"

"I'm out of the mind palace, getting some fresh air."

"You need to get back here, remember the video?"

CRAP I FORGOT!

"CRAP I FORGOT! I'll be there in a minute!" I said hanging up the phone.

I was still in the sky, I guess I can get there faster this way.

I flew straight to the mind palace. I was going extremely fast, I almost crashed into a tree. My anxiety was going through the roof. I knew I was gonna get yelled at as soon a I got there.

(Don't get confused by the switching of Anxiety and Virgil. I write Virgil unless they are speaking about Virgil and I change it to Anxiety)

"There you are kiddo! We were worried sick!" Patton said, giving Virgil a big hug.

Virgil flinched, his back still hurting from putting away his wings (they hurt to remove but not put on).

"Where were you!? We told you about this video weeks ago and of course YOU are late!" Roman said, frustrated.

"It's none of your business! I can be where I want to be, I don't take orders from you!" Virgil replied. Roman was NOT happy about that.

"You're lucky Patton likes you, I would've banished you to the dark sides by now." Roman muttered under his breath.

"Roman Rose Prince!-"

"Oh shit the middle name!" Virgil said after accidentally cutting off Patton.

"You better knock it off or else you'll be in DEEP trouble." Patton said in his angry voice.

All of the sides, the dark, the light, the normal, everyone knows not to mess with Patton when he talks in his angry voice.

Thomas walks in the room, "Sorry I'm back, I couldn't find the right batteries, oh hi Anxiety!"

"Hi Thomas..." Virgil replied awkwardly, trying to ignore the conversation that just previously happened.

"What is up everybody!"

A/N: hey guyssss i just wanted to say thanks for reading! also this book is based on one of my dreams (kinda weird right?) and it might be a long or short book (depends on if i stretch it out more) and in this book Roman is a little bit of an angsty boi hehehe
