Xaria sat in her crummy old and cheap apartment. Her legs were crossed and her electric guitar sat in her lap, her hand wrapped around the neck of the instrument.
She quietly strummed the strings of the guitar, making a simple tune. She was honestly quite exhausted, both mentally and physically, though she would never admit that to anyone despite her being so open.
She wasn't in the best situation. She could barely afford her apartment anymore, and she didn't have a job. The only way she made money at the moment was street performing, and that didn't make much at all. It was shocking how long she'd gotten away without being kicked out onto the streets. She use to have a job, but she lost it years ago, and every job she got after wasn't stable enough.
She was going to perform at a club tonight, one that she often performed at, to hopefully scrape up some cash.Xaria's gaze shifted as she noticed the time, and her eyes slightly widened. "Ah, shit!" She said aloud to herself as she scrambled up and off her bed. She grabbed her guitar case that was covered in various stickers that she had accumulated over the years since she was a teen, placing the guitar itself into the case and closing it securely. She placed the guitar comfortably on her back, the strap wrapping around herself. She was already dressed, wearing a simple checkered green and black crop top along with a black skirt and a fuax fur, purple cropped jacket. Her hair didn't need to be brushed out or fixed, since it was short and half shaved.
She grabbed her phone that was still sitting on her bed, and slipped it into her pocket before going and getting her platforms on.Luckily the club wasn't to far from her apartment complex, so it only took around 15 minutes or so to drive there. It was a smaller club, hidden more in the corner of an alleyway, though the neon lights made it quite obvious that it was there, especially at night.
Xaria got out of her car, walking over to the building. She walked in after showing the security her ID, though they were pretty familiar with her.
She glanced around the room, unaware of what was going to happen this night. Her gaze landed on a male that had half black and half teal hair. He seemed to notice Xaria and he smiled, giving a wave. She gave a smile and walked over.
"Heya!" She said with a wave.
"Hey" Seren responded. "The last person just finished up so you can go up on stage now" he told her.
"Wow, talk about perfect timing" Xaria said with a chuckle as she took the case off her back. Seren handed her a key to get into the back stage and she nodded a thanks.
She walked over to the door and unlocked it, walking into the room. She knelt down and placed the case on the floor, opening it and taking her guitar out. She already knew what songs she was gonna play, and she was also planning on taking some requests after. She slipped the strap on over her shoulder, holding the guitar by its base and, once again, it's neck.
She took a deep breath, mentally preparing. She had already warmed up her voice back at home, so overall, she was already prepared, for singing at least.Xaria stepped out of the room and walked over to the rather small stage set up more in the corner. She stepped up onto the wooden planks and walked up to the mic. "Hello hello!" She spoke. "I know no one cares, but I'm still going to give a introduction" she said with a smile. "I hope everyone's having a good night so far! I'm Xaria, and I'm going to perform some of my original songs, then I'll do some covers. I'll also take a few requests!" She spoke confidently.
