hi, so covid-19 destroyed the planet sure, but it also gave me the opportunity to pull a plot that i had almost given up on out of drafting hell and rework it. we'll burn brighter has made an appearance on my account before, but in a vastly different form. therefore, if you've read it before i'm sure you'll still find it fresh. i'm still currently drafting it, but i still want to give readers a chance to read this story.
i've always felt like coming of age stories were vital to a lot of people, including me. however, there's such a void that exists when pertaining to lgbtq+ themes and characters. that's why i created we'll burn brighter. if the tale can make even one person feel less along in the world as they transition into being an adult, i've done my job.
that being said, obviously this story has gay themes. if you have a problem with that, i recommend you stay away from this story and maybe educate yourself. however, if you are okay with that, this story is for you. for the sake of this story being accessible to as many teens as possible, the list of trigger warnings for this book is small, it's limited to cursing and mild acts of homophobia.
i plan on uploading on wednesdays, however, i'm not organized enough to give you a time. take what you can get ;)
i feel like i've rambled on too much, but i just wanted to get all that out of the way. i hope you enjoy this take :)
