My body refused to move and I just stood there, bleeding, looking at the retreating boy, who for some reason showed concern for me. At that moment, I felt as if I had lost everything I held dear in a short period of time. My family. Now Yeonjun. The guy who saved my life, and what did I? I've been acting like a total shit the whole time.

He stopped for a second, as processing the next step. He turned around and ran quickly in my direction, taking me in his arms and carrying into the house. My heart was pounding and I tried to stay conscious. I put my head on his shoulder and trusted him again, knowing that he wouldn't let me down. As for him, I have no idea why he's still trying to save me from this terrible existence.

When he takes me to the bathroom, he puts me on the countertop, picking up some silvery and sharp tools that don't seem harmless. I hated doctors and was always afraid of them when I was a little child. Seems now I have no other choice as to gather all the will in a fist, clench my teeth and go through the next test of this life.

-Don't move, - he said in a serious tone, taking the bullet out of my shoulder.

I screamed grabbing Yeonjun shirt and clenching my hand onto it with all the strength. The pain was 9 points out of 10. Why not 10?

"You have to leave 10 in reserve. Always" - my dad constantly was telling me. "No matter how painful something is or how hurt you are, if you can survive it, don't give it 10".

-Done, -I heard Yeonjun saying, exhaling deeply and rewinding the bandage on my arm.

He sat down next to me looking at the floor.

-Why are you doing this?, - I asked, turning my head to look at him.

-Doing what?, -he pronounced staring in front of him.

I gulped and paused for a little before saying:

-Treating me like a person, -my words shocked him as he turned to give me a deadass look.

He frowned in disbelief, thinking what nonsense I had just uttered.

-You need to take a shower, get my pants and hoodie in the closet, I'll make us something to eat, -he said, leaving me in the bathroom with my own thoughts.

-Yeonjun, wait!, -I approached him, making a bulletproof look, -thank you, -was the only thing that came out of my mouth.

I knew it was just a drop in the ocean, I wanted to tell him a lot more about each thing individually, because I owe him so much. Nevertheless, he slightly smiled and went to the kitchen.

Thank God the water was left during this period of time. The only thing reminding of civilization.

After taking a hot shower, I put on his black pants and hoodie of the same color. I felt his scent one more time, before going down to the first floor.

-Does it still work?, -I asked him pointing at the small portable stove.

He turned around and gave the most heartwarming smile I have ever seen. Gosh, he was so charming.

-You look beautiful, -he stated and then immediately cleared his throat, getting back to cooking.

HE.SAID.THAT.I.LOOK.BEAUTIFUL. Dear Brain, just don't die. Please, continue functioning. I need you more than anything now.

I pushed my hair behind my ear and blurted out:

-You don't look so bad yourself.

WHAT THE HELL AM I SAYING?

The ladle dropped from his hand and he turned around. He was blushing and tried to find the right words, while his eyes darted in different directions. At me, at the ladle, the floor, the ceiling. Apparently, I'm not alone in this situation.

-So, maybe we should eat outside, the sunset today is gorgeous, -he changed the topic and I agreed right away.

Sitting in the backyard, where no one could see us, we spread a blanket and took plates of hot and spicy ramen.

-The sunset is truly breathtaking, -I said, pointing at the bright orange sun, with fluffy purple-blue clouds flying around. It was an incredible sight. The sky seemed dark, but also insanely pigmented.

-Definitely, -he pronounced looking shyly at me.

-Blue boy, -I started and put a plate on the blanket, -I want to say sorry for all the troubles I've caused you, -I gulped and continued, -I behaved abominably and I am truly sorry. I've never been like this, it's just that now there's no one with me and I'm on my own, it's all terrifying, and I thought I was being careful, but I was actually hurting you. I sincerely apologize, Yeonjun.

He listened attentively and said:

-Y/N, you are not alone anymore. You have me.

His dark eyes looked into my soul as I tried to hold my emotions inside.

-And I promise you to help to find your family, -his tone was very serious and I could tell that he meant it. I nodded slightly, biting my lower lip and turned back to the sunset.

-Just don't run away, -he said and then added, -and please, don't hit me with anything.

We both chuckled and agreed to be on good terms. It meant building trust and getting to know each other. Blue boy and I had a long way to go. Together.
