My eyes felt heavy. I tried to opens eyes but it was hard. When I opened my eyes I had to blink a couple of times to get use to the lighting. I was in one of the guest bedrooms of Vicki's house. All I remember was going to the ball, then blank. I turned my head to the right to see someone slouching in the chair next to the bed I was in. What happened? And what's with this killer headache I have? I tried to sit up but then felt a wave of dizziness hit me, that's when I realised who was sitting next to me, it was Wes, the guy I ran into this morning. Or at least I think it was this morning. He lent forward and pushed me back down on the bed gently.

"Hey, take it slow, you got a pretty hard knock on the head when you pushed Daniel out of the way of the falling chandelier."

"Who's Daniel?"

"Daniels the guy you pushed put of the way. Don't you remember?"

"Kinda, it's a bit of a blur.""

"Dr. Samson said that you might not remember correctly."

"Where's Vicki?"

"She's downstairs making breakfast, you have been out the whole night."

"What about Drake, what happened to the rest of the party?"

"After the accident Mr. And Mrs. Farrell ordered everybody out of the house."

"So in other words I ruined the party."

"Yeah, you kinda did?" He answered strait away

"Jeez, make me feel more bad about it. You couldn't have denied it and made me feel that little bit better couldn't you?"

"Sometimes it's better to tell the truth then lie."

"Yeah but in this case it's not."

"Sorry." He said with a huge grin on his face.

Yeah, sorry my ass. After our little conversation Vicki came into the room and gave me breakfast. She made me pancakes with strawberries and Lemon juice on top. The food was delicious. Vicki then took the tray away and headed downstairs to the kitchen leaving me alone with this douche bag. I honestly have no clue why I thought he was nice. Sure he was nice when we first met but now I can see that it was all a mask. Yep, he is really a Douche bag.

He got out of the chair and walked over to the closet and picked up some clothes and sat them on the chair.

"These are some clothes Vicki got from your house, thought you might need some fresh clothes, and something comfy.' He said looking me up and down.

I was still in my gown I had from the party. I thanked him and got up and headed to the shower. I stopped right at he bathroom door and turned around to Wes who was still standing in the room.

"You can go now, I don't need your help." I said rather rudely, but he just seem to smile.

"This is my room so if anyone is going to be leaving its you, but I'm not that mean so you can use my shower." He said looking proud of what he just said.

"But this is a guest room?" I asked puzzled.

'Yeah, but this is my room I'm staying in for the next month, before I go back to uni."

"Oh, ok, I'm just going to go have my shower now." I said and headed into the bathroom with my head slouched in defeat.

---

I woke up finding myself under my black coloured doona. I remember Vicki taking me home and getting me settled in before I fell asleep. I had the pounding head that only have been caused by the accident. I thought of what I did and smiled. My soon faded as I realised that I didn't know whether he was alright or not. I needed to know that he was okay.

Vicki walked into the room with a steaming cup of hot cocoa placed in her hands. She placed the cup on the bedside table and looked up to me.

"Hey, how you feeling, gurl?" She asked.

"Ok, I've got a pounding headache though." I said rubbing forehead.

"I'll go get you some advil, it will help ease the pain."

Just as Vicki was about to walk out of the room, I suddenly said the most stupidest thing that I could have said.

"Do you know a guy named Wes?" I asked.

"Yeah of course I do, he's like a second brother to me, why do you ask?"

"No reason."

"Wait, how do you know him, I've never introduced you to him before."

"I ran into him the day of the ball."

"Oh ok."

"Do you like him?"

"NO! EW! THATS SO GROSS WHY WOULD YOU EVEN SA-"

"CALM DOWN! I meant as if you like him as a friend."

"Oh yeah, he's really cool, why? do you like him?" Vicki asked wiggling her eyebrows.

"NO WAY! HE'S AN ARROGANT PRICK WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT BEING NICE! I WOULD NEVER GO FOR HIM THAT'S JUST-AHHH!" I screamed at her, a little embarrassed that she asked that question.

"Sure, what ever you say gurl, I know you like the back of my hand and if I didn't know any better, I would say you're in total denial."  She said and walked out before I could reply.

I was so shocked that my jaw hit the floor. How could she say that! I hate him! He is so annoying and arrogant and rude and, and, AHHH! I do not like him and I never will, sure he's got cute ocean blue eyes, and a perfectly structured nose and luscious plump lips- AHH WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Ok maybe I do have a little crush on him, but Vicki would never find out.
