Akira yawns softly letting her headband rest around her neck as kakashi lectures them about safety while walking through the forest she watches naruto groan "kakashi sensei! where are we even going?" kakashi sighs "to the land of sand naruto" akira frowns "isn't that place abandoned or something ever since the akatsuki destroyed it plus its really hot there" kakashi nods handing them a water bottle "yes but we're meeting with a gaara to help rebuild the place" akira sighs softly watching a few hawks circle around in the sky and frowns slightly as sakura sighs "kakashi sensei are we there yet?" kakashi points at a village in the distance "almost just a little bit farther" akira cheers as naruto sniffs the air "i smell some delicious food!" he runs off as akira chases after him "hey wait for me!" sakura frowns grabbing the bags they dropped before running with them "damn it you two wait it could be dangerous!" kakashi rolls his eyes and sighs seeing the kids arguing over what food to choose from he glares at them "did you all forget why we're here?!" the kids frown and apologize before yelling as they all get wrapped in a net made of sand akira tries using a kunai to break out but huffs when it turns out to be useless kakashi looks at a guard and tries to reason with him "hello as you can see we're friends with gaara and-" the shinobi knocks him out and takes them all to a huge building dumping them out onto the floor in front of the kazekage gaara the young man stares at them with cold eyes letting the shinobi leave the room before smiling softly "naruto akira and sakura hello my old friends!" the three kids stare in confusion before leaping onto the boy in excitement "gaara what kinda greeting was that!?" akira pouts "you completely scared us!" gaara apologizes and laughs softly "that was the whole plan akira it was a joke" akira smiles and laughs along with naruto while sakura wakes kakashi up gaara listens to their plan to rebuild the sand village agreeing with them "temari and kankuro will also be by your side helping out you are all welcome to stay here in the village if you'd like" akira nods and grins "yeah i'm looking forward to trying some new foods here and training!" naruto nods giving her a fist bump.

A month later

Naruto wipes the sweat off and stares at the newly painted building "all done!" akira finishes off some damgo and gives him a thumbs up "great job naruto!" naruto rolls his eyes sighing "i swear you eat more than choji kira" akira flips him off and before they can start arguing sakura hands them both cold water "alright you two its time to move onto the leaf village kakashi sensei is waiting for us at the gates" the two youngsters groan before following her to meet kakashi.

They finally reach thenleaf village and naruto grins when he sees his friends greeting him by the gates sakura greets ino and hinata and akira smiles before getting spooked by shikamaru who laughs "sorry i didn't mean to scare you" akira blushes in embarrassment "i-i wasn't scared" she jokes around with him for a bit as they walk through the village and shikamaru suddenly stops in front of her and rubs the back of his neck "would you like to join me for dinner tonight? my mom keeps bugging me about meeting you since she met most of my friends already and-" akira blurts out "i'd love to!" she blushes deeply and covers her mouth mumbling "i'd love to it sounds fun" shikamaru stares at her before smiling "great just be at my place after training" he walks off and akira groans to herself "i'm an idiot why did i say that?!" she huffs and walks home getting grabbed and pulled into an alley by a random guy who grins sickly at her "hey cutie gimmie your wallet and i won't hurt you!" akira frowns quickly before her eyes start glowing she kicks the guy away and after a few minutes she has him on the ground knocked out she scoffs walking away.

8PM

Akira shows up to dinner and explains what happened to her and after listening to a few more stories from shikamaru's mother she yawns
grabbing her jacket ready to leave she waves goodbye and starts walking home as yoshino pushes shikamaru out the door whispering to him "walk her home." shikamaru huffs catching up to akira and once she's home he stands with her in front of the door and blushes deeply as she looks up at him with big hazel eyes he slowly moves closer to her leaning in as akira does the same both closing their eyes but stop when there's an explosion down the street and a angry yell "Naruto! i'll kill you!" akira groans as shikamaru sighs "seems like your teammates are at it again" akira growls softly thinking to herself "i'll kill both of those idiots" she gasps softly as shikamaru takes her hand running to where sakura and naruto are she finally reaches them and knocks them both on the head glaring at the yellow and pink haired kids "what the hell happened i was busy with shikamaru and you two are tryna destroy the village again!" salura points at naruto "he set off a paper bomb!" naruto scoffs "it was dark and i couldn't see!"  they both stop arguing and look at akira "wait why were you with shikamaru?" akira blushes scrambling to find an answer "shut up that's none of your business!" she bites her lip when shikamaru whispers in her ear "until next time kira" she watches the boy walk off smirking and her face grows hot before getting a nose bleed and passing out.

The next few days pass by and akira sneezes as they walk through the snow "this survival mission is stupid kakashi! we already know how to survive in the wild" kakashi nods "yes akira but not the snow so i'm leaving you all out here with a bit of food and water and a few tents set up team 10 will be with you shortly and helping out on this mission it's your job to work together and get back to konoha safely. bye bye" he teleports away and akira huffs "damn it kakashi" naruto offers his jacket and akira declines before going into her tent and at night she eats and frowns when shikamaru comes into her tent after everyone falls asleep "i just thought you could use some company its pretty cold" akira nods scooting over "sure" she hands him some instant ramen while they talk for a minute and before akira knows it she's kissing shikamaru and fireworks are going off in her mind the black haired boy kisses back and soon after their tongues are battling for dominance over eachother before akira pulls away catching her breath she pants softly watching shikamaru blush and lick the blood from his bleeding lip she apologizes causing him to laugh "kira its okay i've been wanting that for a while honestly" he kisses her softly before quickly exiting her tent for the night akira smiles to herself and falls asleep happily. Maybe this trip won't be so bad after all.
