"Name?" The woman at the counter asked me.
"Sonja." I told her. The man, who still hasn't told me his name, and I took a seat in a booth in a corner. There was a silence, but it was comfortable. Finally though, I spoke.
"I can't thank you enough for this." I told him. He gave me a grin.
"No problem! My names Tucker by the way." I smiled and nodded. He suddenly turned and looked at my phone case. On it was a Minecraft sunset.
"You play?" He asked me motioning towards the case. I nodded eagerly.
"It's my favorite!"
"Really?! Ha, it's mine too!"
And with that, we sorta clicked. I'm not sure how long Tucker and I sat there and talked about video games, but I wished it could've lasted a lifetime. We both just sat there excitedly rambling about Minecraft and Call Of Duty and Gmod, it was perfect. My family back home didn't understand my love for video games, but knowing SOMEONE understood made me feel exceptionally happy.
I looked up from the table and out the window. The sun was high in the sky and I just noticed all the lunchtime commotion around us.
"Erm...Tucker? It's like, 12." I said, laughing.
"Oh shit!" He exclaimed, getting some excusing looks from parents with younger children. "We should probably go grab you that new phone!" A mischievous grin crossed his face. He knew now that I hated people buying me expensive things.
"For the last time, I will get enough for a phone and you can get me the earbuds!"
"Sorry ma'am, I'm afraid that's not possible!" He said and walked out the door. I hopped up and ran after him.
"Tucker, I'm not kidding."
"And I'm not either."

We walked out of the store my new phone in my hand, fully paid for by Tucker.
"I'm going to pay you back!" I threatened. He laughed and shook his head.
"No you aren't, I will continuously give the money back until you get annoyed enough to stop."
"I hate you!" I exclaimed and gave him a playful shove.
"You've only known me for, like, 8 hours and you already hate me?!"
"Pretty much ya." I said just as we reached my small house. "Well! This is my stop!" I told him.
"Really?! I live there!" He pointed to a house across the street.
"Cool! Well, I guess I'll see you around Tucker!"
"Wait!" He took my phone and began furiously typing. "Call me or Skype me sometime!" He said, a large grin plastered on his face.
"I definitely will!" I replied, looking at the number.
"See ya Sonja!"
"Bye! Thanks for everything." I said and gave him a hug. It was a little awkward at first, but he relaxed
And hugged me back.
