"That thing that makes you 'not fit in', be proud of it. Nurture it. Because that's your extra in the ordinary." – Myra S.

Adrienne woke up to a small body pressed to her side. She rolled over, surprised to see Theodore in bed next to her. Lately, he has been shying away from any kind of physical contact. Not wanting to wake the sleeping boy, she creeped out of bed to get ready for her day. She let him sleep in until it was almost time for her to leave. Typically, she had to be at the office before Theodore started school, so Darla would bring him to school and then pick him up. She woke Theodore up, made sure he got ready and ate, then left him and Darla to their daily routine.

Adrienne stopped at a local coffee shop before she went into the office. She was the next in line to order when she heard her name called. She turned, confused as to who was calling her name. She instantly recognized the tall agent with sandy hair.

"Hi..." She trailed off, realizing that she had no clue what his name was. She gave him an apologetic smile, feeling slightly rude that she didn't know his name, but he knew hers.

"Oh, r-right," he stuttered, running his hand through his hair in embarrassment. "I'm Dr. Spencer Reid," he said, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "No," he said, more to himself. "I'm Spencer. Just Spencer..." he trailed off, laughing awkwardly, "You don't have to call me doctor."

Adrienne couldn't help but smile at the man. She couldn't deny that he was cute, and his nervousness made him even cuter, at least in her opinion. "Okay, Just Spencer," she joked, holding her hand out. "I'm Adrienne Hotchner, but you obviously already knew that."

She watched as Spencer stared at her hand, not making any effort to shake it. She licked her lips, slightly embarrassed, but played it off.

"Sorry, I have a... erm, a germ thing," Spencer said quickly, waving his hands around when he talked. "I only know your name from yesterday," he added, "I'm not like a stalker or anything," he finished quietly, internally punching himself for sounding so stupid.

"Germ thing, got it," Adrienne teased, her voice light. She shook her head at the man's nervousness. And she thought she was bad yesterday. "I never thought you were a stalker, Spencer."

"Right, of course not," Spencer said, running his hand through his hair again. "You're last names Hotchner?" Spencer asked, trying to start a conversation with her. He tried his best to keep his eyes on her face, but he couldn't help himself and let his eyes trail down her body. She was gorgeous, even with dark circles under her eyes.

"Mhm," she replied, "Aaron's my brother," she admitted, stepping to the counter to order. She ordered her usual coffee before turning to Spencer, "and for you, Dr. Reid?"

"Huh?" Spencer asked, confused before he realized she was trying to buy him a coffee. He reached into his bag and ordered his coffee. He lightly moved her to the side, blocking her from the keypad.
