Preeta was shown pacing around her office... with her PA, Ruchi, running behind her..

Ruchi: (running behind Preeta) Ma'am aapki coffee toh le lijiye...

Preeta: (muttering) uss party mai kuch nhi hua? Aise kaise ho sakta hai... Krishna sir ne toh mujhe kaha tha ki pakka kuch naa kuch hoga waha pe... why didn't Black Diamond attack?

Ruchi: Ma'am coffee?

Preeta: (realizes) arre haan, Ruchi! Lao do

Preeta drinks her coffee, when she realizes something...

Preeta: Ye ladka, tha kaun ye? Kitna ajeeb behave kar rha tha, I need to find out more about him. Iska koi na koi connection hai iss case ke saath. Ruchi, kyu tum mereliye kisi ki bio data nikaal sakti ho?

Ruchi: of course ma'am, naam kya hai uss insaan ka?

Kartik smiles at her as Preeta walks away.

Preeta was shown walking on the street carrying the guest list for Kartik's birthday party and the video footage when she gets a call from Krishna.

Preeta: (in phone) Krishna sir?

Krishna: Preeta, thank god you picked up my call. I have some news.

Preeta: Is it bad?

Krishna: Well, we've received notice from our search team that the Chopra's expensive family heirloom is missing! Their priceless diamond has been stolen.

Preeta: (shocked) It must've been the Diamond Gang! When did this happen?

Krishna: We got a call from Aarav Chopra just now!

Preeta: Send our investigation team at the scene of the crime. Have them collect any clues and pieces of evidence they can!

Just then Preeta bumps into a man while walking. He mumbles "sorry" just as she sees his face which was hidden behind large black sunglasses.

Krishna: What will you do?

Preeta: (looks at the man) I'm gonna follow a lead...

Preeta ends the call and follows the man who was wearing a black hoodie. He sits down on a table, drinking some pineapple juice with a straw. Preeta stands near his table.

Preeta: Is this seat taken?

Man: (without looking) No...

Preeta sits down as the man looks up at her. His lips curve into a naughty smile, and he was revealed to be Karan Luthra.
