Diana's POV
We're hear new place, new life. I will miss my old home. I mean I never expected that we would leave such memories. I can't complain on my parent's decision to leave the place. I mean, they said it is for the greater good for all of us. I will really miss that place, my only friend was there.I'm scared to death because next week is the start of my sophomore year, a new chapter of my life. May I have the strength I need for next week.
I wish I didn't change houses I never actually want to leave but its not like arguing my parents would change their mind so why bother.
I can predict that they will all be like: "oh you don't talk much do you?" And those kind of stuffs.
I started unpacking and I was very happy that u found you easily since I can't live without writing on you.
This is kinda strange since i never actually tried keeping a diary before so after many months of you in my shelf i decided that i will write in you when i start my new life. Yes i was aware that you were in my top shelf all dusty never being used.
So let me tell you about myself, i am a very shy girl with black hair and grey eyes, i am quite short and quite skinny. I came from Minnesota a very cold place, i am half Greek since my mom is from Greece and work in USA and met my father, the way they met was very strange but romantic at the same time, we seldom go to Greece since my parents are busy, mom is a lawyer and my dad is a doctor. So basically i was a lonely kid since the day i was born. But i love my life.
So here we are now in a lovely small town called Stoneybrook. It was very peaceful unlike our old place.
I started unpacking when mom came in with my favorite food, her one and only grilled cheese sandwich. I smiled at her.
"So do you like it here? I mean it seems like there are lots of kids your age in the neighborhood, you can make try making friends they all seem so nice." She said smiling at me as she offers the sandwich. Is shooked my head as she sighed. I Pigtailed my hair into braids. I can't even talk to my parents how much more with other people. Call me too shy but it is really true-. I heard my mom calling me to get my boxes downstairs so I ran down the stairs. She told me it was in my front yard which was what we didn't had in our old home. It was a really hot sunny day and I was wearing a black sweater and pants making it really hot. I grabbed two boxes and not really that heavy, but the heat was making quite dizzy so I dropped the boxes but I was surprised they stayed in my hand. I saw a blonde girl smiling at me with rosy cheeks she scared me the I fell from my butt.
"Are you okay?" She said in a worried tone I just looked at her saying nothing.
"I-I-"
"I'm sorry if I startled you. I was walking by when I saw you almost dropping the boxes but I think I made it worse. I'm Claudia by the way just live a few blocks away." She said. I shooked her hand but I was looking at the floor. It was very awkward until mom came out with a phone in her hand, she looked at both of us and smiled."Oh hello I see you met my daughter and you are?"
"Claudia. Claudia Williams." She said smiling. I noticed she was my age.
"Well Claudia this is my daughter, Diana she is very shy to everyone, I hope you both will be great friends, by the way are you a freshman or a sophomore?"
"Grade 9 this coming year."
"Oh great! She will be too! I really hope you can be great friend, oh and Diana dinner is in the oven me and your dad have to leave by tonight but we will be back by morning ok?" She said. I shooked my head and nodded. She went back inside and left me with the girl. She looked at me and smile.
"Well Diana, I hope we can be great friends! I have to go now bye!" She said and left. I looked down and waved to her. I hope we won't. Call me mean but I really am not the socializing person, I'm super shy my whole life and nothing can break my streak.
I went upstairs and put,all the stuff on in my room. Now my room was really spacey only the boxes made it messy and I wanted to paint it my favorite color which was pink since the walls were in the color of dull gray.
I laid down on my bed after I organized a little bit around the room it had a little more boxes to do but I felt so exhausted so I ate my dinner and went back to my room and laid down in my bed. I remembered what incident that happened today.
Transferring is never easy.....
