after that one fateful night, all eight of them started sticking together, hanging out at hyunjin's after school, whether if it was revising for the year end tests or just to chat together.
the eight had become this sort of big, weird, dysfunctional family.
but they were a big, weird, dysfunctional and close family, as they had grown attached to one another, all connected to each other in a special way. they were a big family, hanging out together all the time. it was as if they had known each other for years, as their chemistry was so strong with each other.
sure, it took some time for chan and minho to adapt to the younger boys, but soon enough they warmed up to them, and even slowly becoming one of them.
seeing how happy he was now with his friend group, seungmin wondered why he didn't get friends sooner.
-
the next two months had flew past so quickly, and before the boys knew it, the last school day had arrived in a blink of an eye.
as much as the boys had looked forward to their last day, it also meant getting their exam results back.
which brought them to where they were now, the eight of them at their usual table in the café, currently exchanging their scores with each other after school.
"i can't believe first year of school is over already," jeongin breathed, slumping back into his chair, "it's like it didn't even happen."
"well, you still have a long way to go, little one," chan chuckled, gently squeezing jeongin's shoulder.
"argh! i can't believe this!"
on the other side of the table, jisung was currently having a small meltdown, head buried in his hands.
"how did i manage to fail home economics? that's like the easiest subject i took!"
"you know what then? i'm switching to producing and composing classes next year," he grumbled crossly, shoving his papers ruthlessly into his bag sulkily.
"i'm so excited for sunday!" ignoring everything jisung had said, felix clapped his hands happily, "we've been waiting for months for this to happen."
"mhm," changbin mumbled, absent-minded as he played with felix's strawberry blonde hair, massaging his scalp in slow motion circles.
"what am i going to do with soonie while i'm away?" minho sighed, deep in thought.
"that thing is still alive?" jisung scrunched up his face, and if looks could kill, he would have been dead on the floor from the death glare minho was shooting him.
"i take very good care of her, thank you very much."
"just drop her off at on of those fancy pet hotel things," hyunjin shrugged, feeding a bite of his crepe cake to seungmin.
"i suppose i could," minho frowned before he heaved another sigh, standing up and stretching, "well, gotta go for my last dance class of the year. see you guys on sunday."
"remember! we're meeting at hyunjin's at four pm sharp!" jisung called out, and minho gave him a slight nod, exiting the café with a small wave.
"why are we always meeting at my place?" hyunjin mumbled, scowling a little, but it immediately dropped when he caught sight of seungmin stuffing his cheeks with his cake, squealing softly as he pinched his cheeks with a small 'cute!'
-
"why are we in the kitchen? i thought we were going to watch a movie."
seungmin was currently sitting at hyunjin's kitchen counter, hand on his chin as he watched his boyfriend open the refrigerator to pull something out.
