"Can you just tell me what we are doing Ronald?" I whined for the millionth time since he tied this cloth around my eyes.
"It is a surprise 'Mione! You will find out when we get there. Now just keep that cloth on your head and follow me." I could imagine the smirk placed on his lips. He squeezed my hand in comfort and I shut up. The rest of the time was silent. All that I heard was the sound of our footsteps.
After a few minutes he stopped us. Before I could say anything my feet were off the ground. I squealed in response and he chuckled. He started to bounce and I guessed he was walking up stairs.
He didn't put me down when the ground was flat again. I leaned into his chest and listened to his heart beat. A steady beat that made me smile. I didn't ask when we were going or how much longer again because I was very content in his arms listening to his breathing and heartbeat.
A few more minutes passed before he put me down again. And he didn't take my hand but stayed behind me and wrapped his arms around my wasit. "Take the blindfold off." He whispered in my ear. It sent a shiver down my spine.
I reached behind my head and found the knot. I pulled on it and let the cloth slide off my eyes. It took me a second for my eyes to adjust to the light. Once I could see again my breath caught in my my throat at the sight. We stood in a giant dome room. It was filled by little balls of light floating around the room humming a song.
One of the light balls floated in front of me. I reached my hands out and grabbed it. It was smooth and warm and for some reason gave me butterflies in the pit of my stomach. As I stared longer into it I began to see images. Of Ron and me.
It was like watching a movie of our lives together. I smiled and let it float back out of my grasp into the bunch of light.
I turned around to face him. His lips were turned up into a smile and his eyes seemed brighter. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed my lips to his. He put his arms around my waist and kissed me back. We moved in sync.
After awhile passed I pulled away and pressed my forehead to his. We were both breathing hard. "It's beuatiful..." I whispered to him. "I love it."
"Great, but I have an even bigger surprise for you." He kissed my forehead then let go of me and went behind where I was standing.
"What are you - " I began as I turned around to see him but I caught my breath. He was sitting there on one knee and a ring in his hand. My heart picked up and butterflies erupted in my stomach. I felt entirely happy and nauseus at the same time.
"Hermione, you have seen me through all the good and the bad. You know my quirks and accept all the little annoying things. You are the most beautiful, smartest and strongest person I know and I want to spend the rest of my with you. I want you through all the good and bad that is to come. I love you. Will you marry me?" A smile spread across my face and I didn't waste a second.
"Yes! Yes I will marry you!" He slid the ring onto my finger and I grabbed his hand and brought him back up to his feet. I pulled him in for a kiss and wrapped myself around him. He gave in easlily to me and I had never felt happier.
"I love you." I said into his lips and really meant it.
