It was hard going into adult hood with a war going on, especially when fighting. It meant they had to get married and make a family sooner rather than later.

So Sirius and Remus married quickly and became the Lupin family. The event was only for close family and friends (with the exception of sirius' parents.)

The obvious next step for them was having a kid. However, they where reluctant in adopting a child during this war, they didn't know if they where capable of raising a child in such a violent environment.

But this all changed when James and Lily Potter had Harry, they knew they wanted a little one of their own.

So on the 19th April 1981, the 2 men adopted a baby  girl called Nova Lupin. She was almost 4 months old,her birthday being the 22nd of December, and she was the light of their life.

She had dark hair, rosy chubby cheeks, greenish hazel eyes and a bright smile.

They loved their little girl with all their heart and Harry and Nova became best of friends. They had play dates together regularly and where like brother and sister.

That was until the prophecy and Nova was separated from Harry and her father.

Sirius realised on the 30th of October that he couldn't stand the long distance between his fighter and husband so reluctantly secretly swapped his position as secret keeper with Peter Petegrew.

Halloween night 1981 was  the death of the potters and the end of the great wizarding war. Great celebration was spreading through the wizarding community.

But not the lupin household.

1 week later Sirius Lupin was forced to go to azkaban after being wrongly imprisoned.

3 days later, Albus Dumbledore forced Remus Lupin to divorce the love of his life.

2 weeks later the family of Black found out about the child.

4 days later a trial began for the house of Black to take Remus' child away from him.

1 week of fighting later, Remus lost his child as he was 'too dangerous' to raise her as he was a lycanthrope.

2 days later Nova Lupin became Nova Black.

And the family was torn apart leaving everyone of them devastated.

So as the world regained their freedom and families began to get back together, they where left with nothing but themselves in a void of darkness.

Yeah well that was pretty dark but I just wanted to give you the families back story. The next chapter will be her first days at Hogwarts as they are pretty important.
