{Temporarily Discontinued} Calming the Beast

Chapter 4

It's Christmas today. Everything went by like normal. Training went by like a breeze, we ate, laughed, and I visited uncle Tony and Bruce like I did everyday after training. The only thing that was off was the gift exchanges. First the people I was training with did a gift exchange. I sighed as I recieved things I didn't need. I got an ipod, tablet, and bag of books. I thanked them and handed them their gifts. I left quickly after. I put my gifts on my bed and went to visit uncle Tony and Bruce.

When I got to the room I noticed pieces of wrapping paper leading to the inside of the room. I went in and found the room a complete mess. "What happened? Did a fire happen leaving only wrapping paper to protect everything?" Stupidest line ever but oh well. Tony looked at me. "Finally you're here!" He said handing you a box with a removable top. I set it in a clear spot on the table and opened it. When I opened it I saw a black fox pup's head pop up and stare at her with stunning blue eyes. I smiled and picked it up. "You always knew me best uncle Tony."

Bruce walked in and had the same exact box. "Here." I did the same and it was a white fox pup with black eyes. I picked them up and hugged both of them. "Thank you! Both of you!" Bruce and Tony smiled and laughed a little. "You're welcome!" They said at the same time. "Did you two name them yet?" Tony nodded while Bruce shook his head no. "The one I gave you is named Coal." I smiled and nodded. "I shall name the one Bruce gave me..... Rose." Bruce smiled and his face went red slightly. I laughed a little.

Tony looked at both of us. "So.... Rose is a good name for your fox." I smiled and laughed at it. So did Bruce. Bruce looked at me and smiled and the red color started to fade. Uncle Tony was up to his evil tricks again. During that awkward moment he managed to hang a misletoe in the doorway. "Only way out is a kiss." He laughed. He was already in the hallway. We laughed and sat there for a while. "Uncle Tony. Please you know I hate kissing friends." Bruce looked in his direction the same way I was. It was a 'Are you serious?' look.

Uncle Tony gestured for Bruce to bring the foxes to him. Bruce sighed and picked them up. He took them to Tony and he walked to the doorway only to where his arms reached in and grabbed them. "You don't get them back until you two go under the mistletoe." I shrugged and got up. I sat on the table and started to play with a piece of ribbon next to me. Bruce came over and started to pick up the mess. I helped him with the clean up.

An hour later we finished cleaning. Bruce and I worked in the room for a while on whatever they were doing. I noticed that an image was on the screen. "Is that the tesseract?" Bruce nodded. "Yeah." I walked away a little. I started to play with a pair of scissors that were in there. I had cut up a good majority of the wrapping paper as he worked. It took me longer to clean up the mess that I made than the one Tony and Bruce made.

Finally Bruce and I got bored of the room. We checked the room to make sure it was spotless and saved all the files to a drive that Bruce had around his neck at the moment. "Remind me to give this to Tony when we get out of here." I nodded and he shut everything down. We set the tools in their drawers and locked the drawers so nobody could steal the equipment. We ran into the obstacle that uncle Tony set up for us. The mistletoe of annoyance.

"Go ahead and do it. I'm waiting." Tony said. I sighed and looked at Bruce. "Ready to get this done and over with?" Bruce looked at me the same way I probably looked at him. "Yup." He leaned forward and pecked my cheek. Tony whined. "No! A real kiss! Not a siblings kiss!" Bruce sighed and pushed his face against mine. I didn't care until it was longer than ten seconds. I pushed him away. "Too long buddy." He laughed and wiped his lips. "Sorry." I did the same. "It's fine haha you were getting into the holiday spirit." Bruce looked at me and smiled. "Yeah that's what it was." We kept laughing until Tony took the misletoe down. "Let's help you take these to your room." I shook my head. "No! I mean... Um... I can take them. Don't worry." Tony knew I didn't want them to see my room and backed away. I took Coal and Rose and walked away quickly.

When I got to my room I set Coal and Rose down and shut the door. I went to my bed and layed down. Coal and Rose curled right up to me and slept. I smiled and stared at the ceiling for the longest time. Every thought possible ran through my mind. By 8 p.m. I had fallen into a deep sleep and nobody could wake me up.
