Backstory
You and Leif always had a bad history together. It started waaaaay back when you two were small. He started it by hanging you on a tree by the back of your top, leaving you there to suffer for hours. Until someone found you and helped you get down. And that's when it all started. Leif, however somehow developed small feelings towards you. He liked how eager you are to get back at him, and determination. He likes to tease you, and flirt with you obliviously. You never paid any attention to it though.Present Time
You were getting ingredients for Rhys as he was making a potion, and you help him get the materials most of the time. As you were out looking for an ingredient, you come to cross paths with Leif.Your P.O.V
"You. Why are you here?" I scoffed."What? Can I not take walks?" Leif grinned.
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes and was about to walk away when he spoke.
"Why are you here?" Leif asked, leaning against a tree.
His orbs were glowing in the dark, staring back at mine.
I gave him a stern look and answered, "I came here to gather some materials for Rhys.. until you came along." I said.
"Oh? Is that so." Leif raised a brow.
"You're acting stranger than usual. Have you hit your head?" I scowled.
"No, I didn't." Leif replied.
"Alright, whatever." I shrugged, and walked away. But little did I know, he was following me.
I followed the path to where Rhys said the last ingredient was at.
I entered a secret passageway, and there sat the last ingredient. Isolated for months.
"The pink dust," I whispered to myself.
As I was about to take it and put it inside my satchel, a hand snatched it.
"HEY!" I growled, turning to see who took the dust.
"You! What are you doing here?! Did you follow me?!" I questioned.
"What does it look like?" Leif smirked.
"Give that back!" I yelled.
"How about no?" Leif answered, wiggling around the sack that contained the dust to tease me.
"BE CAREFUL WITH THAT!" I warned.
He sat on a branch and pretended to drop the dust on a small puddle of water below.
"You little— give that back! I need it!" I groaned.
I jumped to the branch he was on, and leaned for the dust.
Our faces were inches away. Leif's breath hitched and looked as if he was out of it.
I took this as an advantage, and pulled the bag out of his grasp. Unfortunately for me, I so happen to slip off the branch.
Leif snapped out of it, and grabbed onto my wrist just in time unknowingly.
"Holy shi— oh god. Don't let me go! I don't wanna get wet!" I said, trying to pull myself up.
"I don't know, wet seems like a good look for you." Leif smirked.
"Leif, I swear to the gods if you let me go, I will smack you upside down your head." I threatened, glaring daggers at him.
He started slowly letting me go, but I held onto his hand.
"NO, NO! LEIF—" He cut me off by winking at me and brushing my hand off of his.
"Whoopsies, my finger slipped." Leif snickered, as he looked down below.
I stood up and kicked the water groaning.
Leif jumped down and laughed at me.
I splashed water at him, and he stopped laughing.
His white bangs fell to his eyes, drenched.
"Haha!" I stuck my tongue out at him.
I looked at the dust, and to my surprise, it was safe and sound.
I sigh in relief and glare at Leif, who was already staring back at me.
I rolled my eyes and stuck out my tongue at him.
Then I dried my hair and began to walk out, but Leif phased in front of me, blocking the passageway.
"Get out of the way, or I'll make you." I say.
"Oh please, you can't even hurt a fly." Leif taunted with a smirk.
"Shut up and get out of the way! I need to deliver these to Rhys!" I groaned, trying to shove him.
"Rhys can wait." Leif purred.
"Yes, he can. But I'm not gonna make him. So get out of the way." I said.
Just then I realized I can phase and so I did.
"Hey! Where did you learn that?!" Leif frowned.
"Rhys. I learn everything from him. Why do you think I'm so smart?" I grinned.
Leif rolled his eyes in response.
"Whatever. Meet me back here when you're done." Leif said.
"Why?" I asked, raising a brow.
"Oh, nothing much.. Just a quick sparring match.." Leif tilted his head with a smug smirk.
"Why would I want to spar with you? Plus, I have better things to do than waste my time with you." I scoffed.
"Unless, you're.. scared?" Leif pushed.
"Why would I be scared of you? There's nothing to be scared of."
"You say that, but you reject my offer."
"I'd rather do something else. Try again next time, Leif."
"See, that just proves you're scared."
"Fine! But it'll be quick. Better put on your big boy pants, cause you're going to lose." I said, leaving him there.
I enter the library, to see Rhys reading a book.
"Oh, greetings, Y/n." Rhys smiled, looking up from his book.
"Hey, Rhys." I waved, as I place the ingredients in front of him."
"Ah, delightful. Thank you, Y/n." Rhys said.
"You're welcome,"
"May I ask.. why are you drenched?" Rhys asked.
"Just.. a little trouble getting the dust. Something came up. Nothing to worry about."
Rhys nodded, and began making the potion.
