A Game For Two (Futaba)

You were in your home, doing some studying since the summer vacation was over. But then, you received a message from Akira, the guy who was leading the phantom thieves, a group that you were apart of since the day the team name was created after the Kamoshida incident.

You got out your phone and read the message.

TheWildJoker: Hey Y/N? Can I ask you for a favor?

Y/N: What's up?

TheWildJoker: Futaba asked me to go game shopping with her in Akihabara.

TheWildJoker: But Sojiro needs me to cover for him today and he won't take no for an answer. 

TheWildJoker: Can you go to the electronics store for me in my stead?

You had a moment to think about it. Futaba Sakura was a quirky girl you had gotten to make friends with a very quickly once you conquered her palace. Akira seemed to had picked up on how much you grew to like her over time.

Maybe this was your chance to make it seem like a date of sorts.

Y/N: Sure I can, but why me?

TheWildJoker: I've seen how much you think of her whenever we're in mementos. 

TheWildJoker: When she says something in the car, you pay attention to her a lot.

TheWildJoker: Morgana knows as well, he's telling that you should go for it.

Well if those two knew already, you thought that maybe you had nothing to lose.

Y/N: Alright, I'll see what I can do. I hope it goes well...

TheWildJoker: Don't worry, I have good instinct.

TheWildJoker: Morgana says he's rooting for you too, good luck.

The conversation ended and you got ready to meet Futaba

You arrived at the store and there seemed to be a sale going on.

"Hmm, no sign of Futaba." You muttered. "Maybe she's not here yet?"

As you walked around the store, you reminded yourself of when you first met her. She was completely a shut-in girl with a dark issue. But thanks to you and the rest of the Phantom Thieves, you saved her and became a member of the group.

Hearing the story of her mother and how Sojiro had agreed to adopt her and keep her safe for all those years, it made you feel sorry for her. But it also made you feel like you could be the one who can help her. Turning a corner, you noticed Futaba and a policeman...uh oh.

"Are you okay, little girl?" The policeman asked. "Did you run away from home?"

Futaba was shaking as she struggled to answer. "I...umm...."

This didn't look good, you had to do something. You walked up to her and Futaba gasped before rushing behind you, hiding away.

"Who are you? Do you know her?" The policeman asked.
