Chapter 2

The next morning Trent had to work. He was gone before I woke up. I had to go shopping for inventory for my online boutique. I needed to grab some labels and shipping boxes. I woke up and got dressed and went to Home Depot. I grab everything I needed and checked out. I bumped into an old friend Dante we talked for awhile and he gave me his number to catch up. I headed home and started to make dinner and then the phone rang, "hello?" I said "Yes is Trent bone?" Some woman said. "No, this is his fiancé may I asking who is speaking?" I asked and the woman instantly hung up. I tried to call the number back but she sent it to voicemail so i texted Trent and let him know. I didn't care who it was I had trust in him.
He texted me back and told me he took care of it and I just let it go. I laid down and took a nap before I started to package orders and send them to the post office.
     I woke up to a text from Trent saying he was going to be late coming home from work but that was usual. So I packaged my orders and I was bored so I called Dante to catch up. He pretty much told me he had a job running his own business and how he started staying low after our senior year. I told him about Trent and the proposal and he kind of brushed it off and Asked why I even stayed with him. It kind of gave me a bad vibe so I told him I had to go and hung up.  Trent came home around 2 am & woke me up out of my sleep. He came home and went straight to the shower and laid down and fell asleep.
   His job prevented him from being home a lot it took a toll on our relationship but, I stayed because I loved him no matter what. His job made him so anxious and sometimes just plain out evil. I woke him up for breakfast and he just yelled at me and grabbed me and told me to leave him alone and let him rest. It sent me in shock and fear. He never put his hands on me in such an aversive matter before I didn't know what to do so I just threw his food at him grabbed some clothes and left. He sent me a about 30 text but I just didn't want to respond to him at all.
    I waited till it was time for him to go to work before I headed and back home. I called Dante and asked if he could come over and help me with some of my stuff I was going to stay In a hotel till I felt I was ready to be back at the house with Trent. He said he would come over I completely forgot the conversation we had last night. He made it there and started helping me with my stuff and asked why I was packing I just brushed the question off and asked him what he was doing for the day. He noticed the bruises on my arms and asked me if he put his on hands on me & I just looked away I could look him in they eyes. It was quiet we finished packing and he followed me to my room and helped me put me stuff away.

LITTLE DID I KNOW DANTE HAS BEEN IN LOVE WITH ME SINCE HIGH SCHOOL BUT, NEVER MENTIONED IT BECAUSE OF TRENT....
