I sat watching Stiles on the other side of the diner table as he read through the book we took from the library, he was stuffing curly fries into his mouth, and he was pounding down his third milkshake. We've been at the diner for around four hours now. It wasn't something new; Stiles liked to eat and do research, so we spent a lot of time here, we even have our table at this point.

I took a sip of my coffee, watching as Stiles' eyes grew wide. "What's up?" I ask as he rests the book down on the table.

"Well, I've got nothing." Stiles deadpanned.

"What?" I paused, watching his expression to see if it would change. "So, you're telling me that we broke into the library and stole this book for nothing?" I'm considering tearing Stiles' head from his body right here and now.

"Well, not completely. The book told me pretty much everything we already knew. Though, it gives a lot of details about why Moon Crystals change with the fazes of the moon. It also has a picture of them, so we'd know what we're looking for." Stiles explained, turning the book to face me. "You can alter a Moon Crystal, like crave it, and it doesn't hurt it; it will continue to glow."

The pages were filled with pictures of Moon Crystals, come glowing in the dark, others how they had a very natural look in the day time. There was a picture of a Moon Crystal in the ground, partly exposed, you wouldn't have known it was unusual if it wasn't shining.

"The book mostly goes into detail about them; it doesn't give specific locations on where to find them. But there are three different types of Moon Crystals. The most common and what you probably saw as a kid, is the Northwestern Moon Crystal, they have a basic white and clear look to them. The second is the Asian Moon Crystal, they have a pinkish hue to them, they can also be slightly purple, like this one," Stiles flipped the page and pointed at the pictures of the different Moon Crystals. "The third, which is fairly rarer compared to the other two, is a Moon Crystal the only grows in the Southern Hemisphere. It's the orange looking one; the book says that the people in Australia use them for healing."

"I didn't realize that there were different kinds. I thought they were all the same." I said, looking at the pictures in wonder. I stared at the image of the orange Moon Crystal, the color, and the way the photos depicted it at night; it brought back so many memories.

"So I would take it that our closest ones would be the Northwestern Moon Crystals, does the book give a better area than just the Northwest?" I asked, looking up at Stiles once again stuffing curly fries into his mouth.

"So," He started his mouth still full of food, "From my understanding, they don't like coastal area's, or area's that stay too hot. But I think there's a possibility that they could be anywhere from Oregon to Alaska, that's considered the Northwestern part of North America." Stiles explained, picking up another curly fry.

"We still don't have a good enough location; we can't just go around the whole Northwestern part of the continent, asking if anyone knows where Moon Crystals might be." I sighed.

"No, we can't. But we've got a better start than what we had a few hours ago. If Lydia can translate that book from Deaton, we might get more information. But now, we have a start." Stiles grinned.

"You're right." I smiled back. We had a start, and Stiles was right, that's better than what we had before.
