Monoma was surprised at his own thoughts but he didn't acknowledge them any further. Instead, he only focused on class and his anxiety about the test. Soon came lunch, which he was relieved to get to.

Shinso and Monoma walked together as they got their lunch and headed over to their table. "Yo Shinso!" A familiar voice called to the violet haired boy. "Over here!" Looking in the direction of the voice, Shinso saw Kaminari waving him over. "Uh..." Shinso stopped, rubbing the back of his neck as he tried to think of an answer that wouldn't offend him. He then felt an arm wrap around his and pull him away. A blush creeped onto his face as he stumbled. "Maybe tomorrow!" He shouted towards the blonde before facing forward.

Monoma moved his arm from Shinso's once they came up to their table. He set down his food in the center of the first row and sat down. The blonde felt his face heat up in embarrassment. "Oh my god, why did I do that!? Ugh, what's wrong with me?" His thoughts were interrupted when Awase finally spoke. "Hey, Shinso. You have English before lunch right?" The taller boy looked up at him with a blank stare. "If you want answers I'm not giving you any." He replied with his mouth full. "That's... not what I was gonna ask." Shinso didn't reply but instead waited for his friend to ask what he needed to. "Is the test hard? And how many questions are there?" "Well, it wasn't too hard for me, but it wasn't easy either. Uh... and I think there's about 30." Monoma stopped listening after that and just spaced out inside his thoughts.

"Monoma?" He was snapped out of his thoughts by Kendo's voice. He looked to his left where she sat. "Are you gonna eat? All you did was break apart your chopsticks and you've been sitting like that for almost 2 minutes." She was right, he was just sitting there with his chopsticks in either hand, doing nothing. "Y-Yeah!" Monoma then started scarfing down his food, trying to finish quickly. The ginger gave him a concerned look, but didn't question him.

Next class was English. As soon as everyone was sat down, Present Mic started handing out the tests. Monoma figured that maybe he could get at least a C, possibly even a B and bring his grade up. The test wasn't too hard, just as Shinso had said, but Monoma was completely out of focus. He did end up getting a C, but just barely. The entire time, he couldn't focus and it got worse over the next two weeks.

Kendo dodged Monoma as he lunged at her, and he fell flat on his face. "Woah, you okay?" Kendo walked over to the blonde and crouched beside him. He groaned and rolled over onto his back. They had been training together but Monoma wasn't doing the best, he hadn't even noticed Kendo move. He looked over to his ginger friend and sighed. Sitting up, he began to speak. "I just... Haven't been able to focus and it's killing me! I haven't been able to do anything for the past like, what? Two weeks!?" Monoma sighed with exasperation. "Well, is anything going on? Are you okay... mentally?" Kendo shuffled around to sit criss-cross on the ground. "I'm fine, I mean I haven't been thinking about death or anything. I just-" Monoma paused as he hung his head. "I just can't get him out of my head."

"Uh, him? Who are you talking about?" The teal eyed teen grinned as she scooted closer to her friend. "I-I mean... No, just forget I said anything." The blonde stood up as his face started to heat up. Kendo followed suit. "Okay, you don't have to tell me but you should tell him." Monoma started to walk away, ignoring her comment. She followed after him, continuing her persists. "Come on, Monoma. You said you haven't been able to focus because of him. Confessing would definitely help!" Monoma stopped and turned around, causing Kendo to stop as well. "But what if he rejects me? I doubt he feels the same so why should I?" Kendo sighed and gave a small smile. "I can help you. Maybe you can even ask Shinso to help, I'm sure he would." Monoma looked down, unsure how to respond. "Even if this guy doesn't feel the same, you can still be friends, right? It'll be ok, no matter what happens, ok?" The blue eyed boy looked up at his friend, smiling at her positivity. "You're so optimistic, it sucks." They both laughed as they left the gym.
